Priyanka Chopra has a clarification to make.


She has not lost weight to play a ramp model in Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion. But, yes, the gorgeous actress has worked on herself to use her sexy body to advantage in that film and also Karan Johar's next. "I always work on my character. That's why I do one film at a time," she said. "For Fashion, I didn't drop kilos, but I toned my body through diet. I can't cut down on food."

Karan, it is said, is ready to capture the superfit Priyanka on the beaches of Miami with the likes of Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham in his film. "Imagine two months in the sun and sand," said Priyanka in a dreamy voice. "But, I don't get into a bikini for Karan."

Getting into shape, Priyanka revealed, isn't about becoming thin. "It's about toning your body. I do not endorse anorexic figures. I don't think you need to be reed-thin to be beautiful. Indian women look terrible when they try to get anorexic. We are naturally healthy. And by that I don't mean voluptuous! But yes, we've been given a certain kind of figure. We're well-proportioned and aesthetically endowed in all the right places. And by getting exceptionally thin we're going against Nature."
