 Salman Khan has pulled off a casting coup of sorts. The actor has almost sweet-talked his star friends to feature alongside him in sibling Sohail Khan's film, Mr and Mrs Khanna. Shah Rukh Khan leads the impressive list, followed by a band of girls - Preity Zinta, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone.Shah Rukh has readily agreed to make a guest appearance, and the generous actor is not charging a single penny for his role. A reliable source says, "Shah Rukh is known to make guest appearances for his close friends and mentors. He has just shot an item number in Rakesh Roshan's Krazzy 4 and will also do a cameo role in Mr and Mrs Khanna. As far as the ladies are concerned, Sallu shares a longstanding association with Preity; the duo has featured in Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega (2000), Chori Chori Chupke Chupke (2001) and Jaane-E-Mann (2006). Preity is also a close family friend and is a regular at the Khan household. Following close on the heels of Kareena Kapoor's (who plays Mrs Khanna in the film) patch-up with Salman is Priyanka Chopra who also buried the hatchet with the actor recently. She has been in touch with Salman and agreed to do the film the moment Sohail Khan approached her. Meanwhile, Deepika had been a front runner ever since Sohail and director Prem Soni started casting for the film. Apparently, Salman is too impressed with the newcomers charm and ease on screen and had suggested her name. Sohail Khan has also tied up with UTV Motion Pictures, who are going to be the film's co-producers. Mr and Mrs Khanna will go on the floors in March this year. Prem Soni says, "I'm not in a position to comment on these stars being a part of the film. Please check with Sohail." Sohail Khan remained unavailable for comment. |
