border was another heartbreaking movie.

most of these other movies listed were not all that good. tere naam. 😕 what was so great about that movie?

there are so many others movies out there that have such deep meanings and are really tug at your hearts. i'm disappointed at the movies listed. but i guess it has to do with the fact that a lot of the members here are young.

Anjali it is an older movie that was dubbed in Hindi. Only movie that truly touched me and the first movie to bring tears in my eyes.

I agree - I watched Anjali in Telugu (it's a Tamil movie)...always brings a lump to my throat when I watch it. Very touching movie

I watched Anjali in Hindi. I think it was dubbed version too. It is a fabulous film. All 3 kids esp. baby Shyamalee did a wonderful job. My all time fav. kids film.

Baby Shyamlee was amazing. Revathy was excellent too - kudos to Mani Ratnam! And yes, the same movie is dubbed in Hindi too....

One film which brings tears to my eyes everytime is 'Border'. The scene where Akshaye Khanna dies and Sunil Shetty's dialogues, everything is so touching. The song 'Sandese aate hain.............' always leaves a lump in my throat.

I didn't speak to anyone after watching Border for the first time as it had touched me that much.

The lines like,

Vahin thodi door hai ghar mera
Mera ghar mein hai meri boodhi maa
Mere maa ke pairon ko chhooke
Usay uske beta ka naam de
Ay guzarne waali hava zara
