Deepika connects with Aishwarya Rai |
Deepika Padukone is undoubtedly the next big thing in B-Town. The actress who bagged her very first Hindi film opposite Shah Rukh Khan is definitely one lucky girl. She was chosen for Om Shanti Om because she had an old world charm in her looks that justified her character of superstar Shanti Priya. But Deepika's ethereal looks reminds of a more contemporary actress. Very clearly she resembles Aishwarya Rai in her facial features. In fact in the second half of Om Shanti Om , Deepika's look so much resembles to that of Aishwarya Rai from the film Josh The two beautiful ladies have left us mesmerised by their lovely looks and great acting skills. But did you know that the two also share many similarities with each other. Take for instance prior to Farah Khan offering Deepika the role in Om Shanti Om , Deepika's first debut film was a Kannada film titled Aishwarya opposite south star Upendra. Incidentally in the film Upendra was called Abhishek. And ask Deepika who she would love to work with next and she quickly replies Abhishek Bachchan (Hope Ash is listening!) Well it's not just the good looks that the two share. Apart from being beauty queens Aishwarya and Deepika share similar behaviours too. Both the actress never dreamt of becoming heroines and are extremely level headed. Both have had their share of controversial affairs which have been the talk of the town. Like Ash, Deepika is not just beautiful but also has trained in classical dance. When asked how she feels to be compared to Ash, Deepika she says she feels extremely pleased about the comparisons and it's a great thought of having a lot in common with her. Well it seems natural that Deepika is the next logical successor to Aishwarya's throne. And Deepika is definitely making the effort to get there. With her reading almost five film scripts a week and signing films like Made In China opposite Akshay Kumar and Yash Raj's next and being considered for the lead opposite Hrithik in Krrish's sequel she is surely the next Aishawarya in the making. |
