Amitabh in Don sequel

Perhaps it was the success of Farhan Akhtar's remake of Don that gave way to this brainwave. Nadeem and Nasir Irani, sons of Nariman Irani, the producer of the original Don want to make their own Don sequel with Amitabh Bachchan titled The Return Of The King.

A source says, "Farhan Akhtar announced the sequel to Don as soon as his film released but the status of the project is unknown. Besides Farhan does not own the rights to make the sequel, so how can he start on the project? He has to acquire the rights from the Iranis. And why would they part with the rights when they are planning their own sequel?"

Talking stage

Sources close to Bachchan say that is keen in doing The Return Of The King. "He has met the Irani brothers and there are talks on for the sequel. They are looking for a good director. Negotiations are on with an ad filmmaker. They want to make a slick film with lots of special effects."
The Iranis refused to say anything about the project. Bachchan remained unavailable for comment.

😡 what idiots. firstly ab is just too old for the role and secondly its nasty to do a sequel when we all know farhan is doing it. i mean why didnt they do it before don remake. 😡 idiots. i hope its false.
and if he doesnt own rights for sequel then how did he own rights for original remake? 😡

And AB...honestly man yr way too old to be playing the lead for any film esp for don. why dont you move out the way so yr son can work for the limelight.
