thanks guys for liking the review

really there is nothing wrong with the film

the problem is its a musical love story...so rather than the story being told through melodramatic dialogues its told through songs

which is sheer geniusness to think of

SLB u ROCK!

Saawariya is a play... a play that is captured in video. Therefore, it can be mistaken for a movie.

However, if you try to extract a movie out of a play you will be very dissapointed and unsuccessfull, which is what has been taking place for the most part regarding the audience's perspective of the piece of work.

In a play the characters are not very well defined at all. The only thing you know about the characters in a play (as I have noticed in the few plays I have had the opportunity to view) is the how the story involves them, and what their immediate reactions to the current events the story brings in front of them are.

The story of a play is very simple, and therefore, without any complex subplots, which is what happens in Saawariya.

I can only speak for myself, and I thought that the movie was a masterpiece! 😃

i thought the movie was good, not great... but pretty good.. the best part about it was that it was simple, t didnt drag at all which was something different, it just ended.. it even seemed a little too short for me.. but that could just be me... but that was the best part, that it was simple, to the point, and didnt drag

.. but it does touch ur heart, such a simple story but does have emotions in it (loved the lillipop and raj relationship)

dont forget.. it was up against oso.. a full fledged loud masala movie.. where u didnt have to think much.. just had to go, laugh, and have a good time

while this one is a fairy tale.. yeah its a simple plot.. but if u sit and think about the relationships in this movie... ur imagination can take u very far..

Rashi ji, your review was so nice. It's such a heartfelt story. I guess, if SLB prsented it more umm "modernly" it would have 'appealed' to the masses more ji.
