KJo's next is Khan - Plot

After the success of Chak De India, Shahrukh will play the role of a Muslim in another film, by none other than his close buddy, Karan Johar. The movie is tentatively titled Khan and will be a departure from Karan Johar's usual family drama films.

Plot

Khan will draw light on the plight of Muslims post the 9/11 attacks. Shah Rukh Khan will play a Muslim, who gets wrongly detained on a flight because of his last name, Khan. The authorities believe him to be a terrorist. Karan is busy trying to get Kajol ( Karan's lucky charm and close friend) to essay the lead opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the film.

You guys😭. I think KJo is capable of directing sensitive subjects. I loved his KANK and am sure this movie will help him come out of bubblegum romance mold.

There are quite a few Hollywood films on the subject which can be "inspiration".
