Actor Shreyas Talpade has made rapid strides in Bollywood ever since his debut in 'Iqbal'.
The success of the Nagesh Kukunoor-directed film catapulted him to instant stardom and Shreyas is striving to make the most of this opportunity by grabbing the variety of roles coming his way.
The period after Iqbal has witnessed Shreyas essay a wide variety of roles – from the 'Behrupia' of Dor to the simpleton of Apna Sapna Money Money , the scheming husband of Aggar and the intense and ambitious youth in the recently-released Dil Dosti Etc .
"All through my years of struggle to make it as an actor, I have dreamt of doing different kinds of roles and working in films of different genres. Now that so many diverse offers are coming my way, I do not want to leave any stone unturned. So, wherever I am offered a good role, script or a film with a good director, I lap it up and try to give it my all," Shreyas is quoted by a news agency.
"What is exciting about being an actor is to try one's hand at different kinds of roles. I feel if I have to keep myself fresh as an actor, I should try my hand at various roles.
"I feel that when I wake up every morning, I should feel like going to the studio and the sets," Shreyas said.
As someone who had no godfather to back him and offer innumerable chances to prove himself, Shreyas had to make the most of his chances, performing to the best of his ability.
And the coming month will see Shreyas in altogether new avatar. In Om Shanti Om he plays a small-time actor in the film industry of 1970s.
