Shahrukh Khan's latest film, Chak De India, released today to a great response with critics. With 11 critics reviews currently in for the film, 10 have been positive and only 1 has been negative. Even the negative review calls it 'a well made product'. While many more reviews will be coming in over the next several days, currently Chak De India is at a 73%, which is 'Very Good' and enough to overtake Guru (72%) as the best reviewed major release of the year. Of all releases of the year, it is at #4, behind Black Friday (80%), Parzania (74%) and Dharm (74%).
With the critics, this is Shahrukh's best reviewed film in some time, trumping his recent releases Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (65%), Don - The Chase Begins Again (58%) and Paheli (61%). However, at the box office, it is a different story. The advance for Chak De India is the worst for a Shahrukh Khan starrer since One Two Ka Four released in 2001. However, strong word of mouth could change it's fate at the box office. For all news and reviews for Chak De India, click here.
