SRK decided to give the IIFA awards a miss for the second year running as it clashed with his time off, but the locations clashed as well. He was just five hours away from the venue and SRK still chose not to attend the award ceremony. Having planned a holiday with his wife and kids in London, Khan said he wanted to relax. However, by the looks of it Khan seems to be doing a lot more than just chilling out.
First, we spotted Khan participating in a charitable auction with MF Hussain last Friday during the IIFA weekend. The Super Khan also has some other events lined up. He will fly to Warwick Castle in Britain to officially open its latest attraction, Dream of Battle on 20th June. SRK will not only inaugurate a new battle experience which is set in the oldest part of the castle but will also be visiting it privately. Khan has also picked up an icon award in London recently.
The Baadshah of Bollywood may have chosen not to attend the IIFA weekend but he wasn't out of the spotlight either. Just a few hours from the award function, Khan was spotted on various occasions and was therefore always in the news. Rumours are already rife in the industry that things are not very pleasant between the Bachchans and SRK. Industry insiders say that the relationship has gone sour since SRK took Bachchan's place in KBC's third season. Also, SRK like the Big B has his own wax statue at Madam Tussaud's. King Khan was also not invited for the Abhi-Ash wedding. And now Khan has chosen to stay away from the IIFA awards – a function that is synonymous with the Big B.
All of this only leads to one question - Is the Khan Bachchan war getting hot?
