Lolo and behold! Karisma Kapoor

Karisma Kapoor first regained her pencil-thin figure, then she began making appearances at parties… Naturally, it was only a matter of time before the silver screen beckoned her once again. Now we hear that the actress is set to make her comeback with Govinda, her co-star of many films, in a David Dhawan film. The coming together of the jodi no.1 of the '90s, with one half trying to resurrect his career and the other trying to make a comeback, may be veritable delight for fans.

So, how does it feel for Govinda to be back with Lolo? "Davidji is planning to make a comedy film with Lolo (Karisma) and me. He has already spoken to Lolo about this on several occasions. For further details you must speak to Davidji," says Govinda.

Govinda says that he is very happy with Lolo's decision to return to acting, after marriage and motherhood. "I am happy that Lolo has decided to make a comeback. I have been reading about Sridevi, Madhuri and Kajol making comebacks. Why should Karisma not act too? She is very talented and I think she'll be great," says Govinda. "However, I will be able to do this film with Karisma only after I finish my films with David and Vashu."

Apparently David Dhawan has been planning a film with Govinda and Karisma for a very long time, but things fell into place only now. "Davidji has been planning an out-and-out comedy with Govinda and Karisma for a long time. Currently, David and Govinda are busy with a Vashu Bhagnani's production. After that David will start his film with Karisma and Govinda," says our source.

David Dhawan has been given the credit for creating the popular Govinda-Karisma jodi. The two delivered several hits and were last seen in Hero No. 1, a decade ago. "Davidji created a record with of sorts with the two," says our source. "In fact, David is very fond of Karisma. He made Biwi No. 1 especially for her. After Biwi… Karisma teamed up largely with Salman Khan for David Dhawan films."

Now, it seems it was Salman who suggested that David make a film with Karisma and Govinda. Our source says, "They are fantastic together and share an awesome chemistry on screen. If things work out, this film will be a delight for all her fans."

The script of the film is being written right now. David Dhawan will direct and produce this film.

David Dhawan remained unavailable for comment.

Govinda and Karishma have a lot of hits together but that was years ago? Will their next film be as successful as their past ones? 😕

I'd like to see Lolo act with SRK. I liked their onscreen chemistry in Dil To Pagal Hai.
