The Brandenberg gate, an important historical landmark in the heart of Berlin, is flooded with Germans who don't just love their beer, their cars and the skyscrapers but they all love Indian movies.

And if you thought that Shahrukh Khan just rules Bollywood, think again because the uncrowned king of the Indian film industry sells like nothing else does in the land of the Mercedes Benz.

So it's not without a reason that video libraries here stock Bollywood blockbusters for rent.

"There is a huge demand for Indian films, that is why we stock them and show them on channels also," said Markus Gerding, owner, video library.

And what is it that they most love about Indian movies?

"I love the romance, it's so heart felt. I almost became close to tears while watching Veer Zara," said Daniel, a Bollywood enthusiast.

So it's not just the chicken curry but also Bollywood that rules in Germany.
