Maya,Aamir was presenting the award to that gentleman...SO he was photographed when he handed the award and moved away

His dress is HORRIBLE though 🤢 Wonder who designed THAT for Aamir....John looked FAB at the oscars though...Well,cant expect Aamir to look like a runway model...But his attire could have been better...Surprised how it didnt trigger off a discussion in India, this faux pas 😕

Butteroo plz don't feel bad about it..this is my personal opinion which i am putting infront of you all😉

Nishtha, rightly said.. And he used the words "Shaitani iraade" and poor Amar singh had nothing to do but to smile.. 😕😕 This cannot be scripted bcos it was a situation based comment.. Again, SRK did prove that he just cannot stop hitting at others.. 😕

This sorta humour can only be brought by SRK thats what i wanna say!
Im sure KBC 1&2 was on air, No Doubt BIG B did it really well... it was a great and a very successfull show but wasnt ihumour missing in it?😳

And see the difference now in KBC 3!😊

Makhanji, again, if sense of humour means asking the whole nation to love him and accept him as the Bestest Actor ever, then he is doing a GREAT job in KBC... 😳 Humour was indeed not missing in Big B's KBC, but yes, Big B's show was more dignified and gained more respect.. 😛

SRK is talented; delivered number of hits and has ruled the bollywood on and off....But whats with him endorsing every other product ??

He is needlessly comparing himself to everybody and inviting warth.....

You have your strengths man and you are good. BUT its definately not worth you praising yourself

and if people watched KWK with HR and PC -- they would realise that when HR was asked who was better salman or aamir he said ---they are both the same height or something of that sort---BUT because it is the GREAT HR that slips away now does it???when asked again by KJo who has a better body-- HR, John A, or Akshay he said--me of course --but again that was overlooked BUT goodness forbid SRK enacts a script--the whoooole universe as we know it shall come to a complete standstill ...

the Oscars--Ellen made fun of soooo many people, The VIEW--Rosie makes fun of sooo many people BUT heaven forbid if srk enacts a script--the world shall end...

if SRK's magic was truly over--DOn would not be a hit- boxofficeindia facts; and as far as doing something different goes---lets see the cynical Dev--who else would have the guts to play a cynical Dev and be torn to shreds by critics

the tRPs of KBC 3 are on the upswing such that no show placed in that slot would beat it-- and whoever would disagree would be loyalists of shows of certain tv actors or srk haters... and other than the tv star loyalists and the srk haters--no one would question his place as Best TV anchor for this year--that even with only a month of episodes. rediff.com has interviews with the contestants and even the strict teacher who was MEAN to srk said he was truly a gentleman and a very nice person and she was sorry she was mean to him

Madame Tussauds will unveil an SRK wax statue in the coming days--a honor achieved only by the Big B and then AFTER the release of Bride and prejudice, AFTER the cannes appearances and AFTER the L'Oreal campaign by Ash--SRK gets the honor purely on his Bollywood status

Penelope Cruz wants to make a movie with SRK; the BBC named him the MOST POPULAR actor in the WORLD with an even bigger audience and fan base than Tom Cruise;

and when he made a dig at Amar Singh ji he did say--i am a dead man because the govt will come after me; should he have called HR twice??did people forget that had dhoom 1 not existed there would ahve been NO d 2 and d 1 was made the brand it is due to the inclusion of Abhishek as ACP Jai--so what huuggeee earth shattering crime did SRK commit by calling abhi on stage??

Lets remember he said to abhi--"next year you will thank your wife when you win the BEST ACTOR award" and lets remember him saying that Abhi did a great job in GURU

Liked your arguments, friend.. 😛 Its just not the way he presented himself at this awards function yaar, its just been the way in which SRK has been conducting himself in the past few months.. As Lakshmi pointed out in the previous pages, SRK has always had the tagline that "He is the Best". But that did not come off to be bad or sarcastic bcos he really really ruled over Bollywood when he had been saying it all the time..

But now, times are changing. The competition is getting tougher. There is a Saif, Hrithik, Abhy, Aamir, even Big B and many others who are getting meaty roles, and all have really improved in their acting skills.. As the competition is getting tougher, SRK seems to have lost his ground.. He has rather been promoting himself as an actor rather than concentrating on the projects on hand. By doing all this, he is losing the originality that he had in him.

Its not just this script where SRK has been putting forth the point that he is the Best. He has been trying to do this in every possible way, whether it be in KBC or in Koffee With Karan...

I agree that SRK has achieved lots and has ruled over Bollywood for more than 10 years now.. I have never denied all this, my friend. But, as of now, he seems to be shaky, he seems to be insecure about his own status, which is only bad for him.. He just needs to concentrate on his work and allow the world to speak about his success, rather than carrying the punchline "I am the Best" whenever he opens the mouth.. This is just my POV..

well here are my point of view.
1.As far as comparing it with the oscars are concerned we have still long way to go to compete with it, and there is far better things we can learn from them rather than just to learn how we can make fun of others, there it might be accepted as we are quite different culture wise whats there dos are our don'ts so.. its not acceptable that as it happens there we can have it here as well.

2.As far as madam tussads is concerned the main guy who has made it possible is Bobby Khan who is also responsible for Shilpa shetty's entry into Big Brother. though agreed he is big star but next Salman Khan is also in teh queue to be waxed there.

3.Now popularity right he has more fanz than Tom cruise as we are the second most populated country in the world and hindi or Indian cinema is watched over all the countries because there is lot of Asian all over the world so.. him having more fan is very understandable.

4.Penelope cruz appreciating SRK 👏 good but we also should not forget one thing is that she is coming here in India for the shootin for her next movie ..remember how Brad pitt and Angelia jolie visited all the orphange over their stay here in India, so she is just making her life easier by making such quotes..though if she really means it..then kuddos to him! 👏

Musings of an erstwhile King Khan fan. Much ado about… nothing… that's the phrase right… Well Shakespeare is rarely wrong, and after all I love Shakespeare 😉

Before I begin my ramblings, I must say, for a disheartened SRK fan, I did quite enjoy his over the top complete imitation of the Big B in KBC3 and the hang over continues in all his pursuits these days.😊

So what did he do? Enacted a script – Right. Isnt he an actor, Isnt that what he ought to be doing, or rather, what he is paid for? Since when has professionalism in executing your job to perfection come under the scanner for "less than worthy" behaviour? 😃

Sarcastic, sardonic, witty, off the cuff humour, potshots, taking digs, these are all "accepted" forms of humour. Whether the person at the receiving end likes it or not, one cannot find fault with the "humour" per se. Humour can be of any kind and it is not necessary that all must share the same "brand of humour". A Jay Leno brand is as much a form of humour as is Johny Walker/ Mehmood/ Shekhar Sumar, now Sidhu/ Raju Srivatsava/ Johny Lever and the list continues. 😛

Instances which were unsavoury – public perception –

a) Dig at Aamir Khan – I adore the guy and my first reaction to SRK's humour was that it is in bad taste. I continue to feel so, but that's not the unbiased mind, that's a rather biased mind which feels that SRK ought not to have taken such digs, particularly it was SRK who was kinda responsible for Aamir staying away from Award functions. But as a form of humour by the FILMFARE guys on Aamir who refuses to attend their functions – acceptable. They are entitled to do a spoof on him, that's creative liberty and nothing wrong in it. Remember, more than SRK who was merely the host, the show was that of Filmfare.

b) Calling himself a desperate actor – One way of looking at it is – he is being honest to himself. He never did act, he always hammed and it is pure chance that he is what he is today. His greatest virtues were his mesmerizing eyes, his dialogue delivery and his persona. A true actor is one who depicts the character and not himself and SRK has never been an actor. So why are we finding fault with honest? Two – Despairing remarks on oneself is also a form of humour, for they say, if you can laugh on yourself, you can laugh at the world. Perfectly acceptable kind of humour, so whats the fuss about, is it as usual, about nothing?

c) Taking digs at other actors – if Sajid Khan, who is a nobody can do it, why cant SRK. At least he has achieved more success than Sajid Khan or Suresh Menon or any other mimicry artiste. In any case, what do we want? A compere who comes on stage, reads out the names of nominees and then the awardees, without any life or humour? How can we limit on the sense of humour and why should we? Cant we accept humour in every form that we see it.

d) Abhishek was polite?😲. He is called to accept an award from his fiance and he makes a afterthought, well deliberated pause later "and you of course" comment, to which that lady in question only seemed to giggle incessantly, as is her wont, and that is being polite. As a lady, I found it insulting that he would look down on his future wife on stage, but then, when the lady doth not protest, who are we to comment. Maybe that is what she would prefer, to be an after thought.

e) And in response, a quip that a husband should possibly remember to thank his wife on the next year was a reasonable dig, considering that he was engaged to Karishma and never reached the alter with her and with so many controversies dodging their footsteps, who knows what would happen the year later.😊

f) Vidhu Vinod Chopra, sensitive film maker, but a fragile ego, a man who recently made a show of gifting a Phantom to buy publicity front page space, just to promote a movie. If this person does not understand humour or that taking digs is acceptable in public life, well, can one blame the Compere of the show? Where does insecurity creep in here? For crying out loud, wasn't he enacting a script? And a good script at that, I must say, considering we have gone over 25 pages of discussions on the script alone….. I don't think any other filmfare ceremony has attracted so many eyeballs as this, and the majority publicity was always hogged by the Rekha Amitabh meet my eyes, meet my nose profiles.

g) A dig at Amar Singh - Why not? Is he god? Don't we remember the Dubai fracas when Amar Singh and AB threatened to walk out when they were not given front row seats. One understands AB's importance at a film function, but Amar Singh, a wanna be politician of a party which is completely regional. Isn't he what they call "hanging on". So why not a dig at him? Sarcasm as a form of humour is so so so acceptable in society, Why do we have to be polite and nice all the time. Oh, being wicked is sometimes so liberating. Being sarcastic is not being impolite, its being funny.

h) His comment to Big B that he wont remake another film of Big B – Now that's a dig at Big B to show how small he can be if he cannot accept that another star can remake a movie in which he starred. It is a wonder that a true blue blood Bachchan fan did not quite get this dig.😆

i) The fact that he accepts that he is projecting a I ME MYSELF persona shows his accepting reality. How often do you find a star who talks of anything besides themselves or their own work. I don't really mean a tv interview or a radio show or a print interview. Take a walk down reality and take a peek into the lives of these stars and you will find how vulnerable they are to public opinion. So isn't that being a I ME MYSELF.

So, what did he do wrong? When he took potshots at other artistes during last years performance, that wasn't noteable but this year, it was AB, AB Jr., HR (albeit other), Vidhu Vinod Chopra, it becomes a chink of weakness in his armour?

I have to confess, I stopped being a fan long back. I still don't like the guy. I do like AB and AB Jr. and HR (other, of course) and Vidhu Vinod Chopra, but I still did not think that SRK's act was deprecating. It was a well written, tight, funny, sarcastic and good script and enactment….. something different after a long time, maybe our first step in coming to terms with humour, coming to terms with real humour instead of the fake "oh kiss in the air" variety or the laugh under your breath variety. Oh when will we come of proper age… dear Humour

And remains the issue that SRK is over the top these days in all walks of life😆😆😆 Wasnt he always, right from his Fauji days. While other heros or stars or actors concentrated on the character, he concentrated on himself. Raj of DDLJ was SRK, Kajol played Simran, therein lied the difference, which has been the case since then. Being loud, larger than life is no crime, and in fact, isnt that how Hollywood stars behave. Staying in Mannat is almost showing a thumb to everyone else that I know I can live in the most beautiful house and sought after house in Mumbai. Isnt that crying for attention? He cries for attention all the time, thats a part of the package that SRK is.

And hence Shakespeare said, Oh my lady, tis much ado about nothing 😛
