Vanga, Nagi and I guess RK don’t need the most interesting deepika ; they simply grabbed opportunities and kicked her outta their life/ projectsits good thing bechara RS is still on her leash after being humiliated by her in front of whole world

Woh toh theek hai. But why do they cry so much. Why do they need to show their wounds to the public to garner sympathy. It is a compulsion..main bhi tha!
excuse me? You forgot your favourite’s cry or should we say crocodile tears on kjo show with Sonam

The most enduring stardom over ages ,all over the world ,HW,BW.. are ones who had heartbreaks with other celebs.. Forget yesteryear stars. Look at Jennifer Aniston,Justin Bieber etc. It connects instantly. They feel more human, vulnerable. The Ibiza pic, finished RK as a Romantic hero forever. He was not to be trusted. RK realises the damage.Images are formed for ever.

Not everyone wants to take nonsense lying down
Some have a reed ki haddi 👍🏼
This is very inaccurate. Bhansali was at an all time low before Ram-Leela. He had two consecutive flops and Kareena left his film specifically because Kjo advised her that Bhansali's career was over and it was a mistake to do his movie. Bhansali's revival is only because of the Deepika/Ranveer quotient. He owes much more to them than they do to him. All three films with this trio were successes and only when he stopped casting Deepika and Ranveer did his brand go down again and his next film could not get funding or mint more than the budget. Struggled with funding for his next film too.
Ranbir had no box office hits until he started working with Katrina. His first blockbuster was with Deepika. All his films flopped afterwards until ADHM and Sanju. And ADHM was a minor success because of KJo, Aishwarya and SRK, something recently pointed out on Reddit just today. As an overseas fan, I know myself and others watched ADHM purely for KJo, expecting another classic from his 2000s era, and to see the comeback of Aishwarya onscreen. People only talked about SRK's cameo with Aishwarya and the desire to see them onscreen again in a new film, not the actual two leads from ADHM. In contrast, Deepika had plenty of hit films during this era.
I've noticed the fandom for a certain middle-aged star "kid" keeps bringing up openings and making this argument that he is a big star because of his openings. LOL, do you think studios care about openings when the films flop right after? Even ignoring that most of those openings listed were not groundbreaking in any way, but giving the benefit of the doubt that they were, it still doesn't matter. If the film tanks even with a strong opening, nobody will consider the movie a success. It's a failure through and through. Problem is this "kid" has a filmography of mostly flops so his fandom can only work with openings.
I see Hrithik constantly getting trashed by the fandom for this "kid" on Reddit and it's hilarious how they actually think their fav is bigger than Hrithik. Hrithik has been a superstar since his film debut and has absolutely nothing to prove.
Nope …bhansali was in 2 flops but he was still a brand and consistently worked with A listers…his previous film before ramleela was with Hrithik and ash …fyi no one ropes in big stars like that if they aren’t a brand in themselves ..to call him a “flop director” is laughable …he was not like a rank newcomer making his footing …he was an established filmmaker with a reputation of working with A listers who had a setback ….vastly different to say a ram gopal varma who in today’s time is a flop director given he isn’t even considered by A listers in today’s day and age …that’s a flop director not bhansali
Ranbir and deepika and their whole make up break up nonsense literally fuelled the promotions for YJHD and their other films together …
And funny how dismissive you are of openings given that’s how business is done in the industry …an actors opening potential regardless of the films content, is where the negotiations for their salary begin …someone who can’t give a baseline of 1 cr opening consistently 5 times in a row, cannot demand 3 crores as a salary …basic
Investments in a film are made on the basis of the actors opening potentials …no one on the planet can predict if a film will be a success or failure so the so called “long run” is illusive …the only solid metric they have is consistent openings delivered by actors regardless of genre, director, quality of content (trailer, promotions)
All this talk abt DP being paid what she “deserves” and her being deserving of an high salary …higher than prabhas even …..and openings aren’t important? Yeh right 🤣
Openings literally tell u how many ppl go watch ur film without reviews or word of mouth …whats ur market and whats ur standing as an actor amongst the audience ..
And the cryptic middle aged actor lol…we all know it’s ranbir who funnily enough wasn’t even a point of discussion until someone randomly brought in Shamshera 🤣
Although I very much doubt that all the arguments named why Deepika isn't considered anymore for Kalki 2 are correct, I agree with the way a filmindustry makes a list of A-stars and then the others. At least in Indian cinema, the pull a star has to give a high opening day to a movie defines his/her place on the list.
Obviously, Deepika still belongs to the A-list actresses and I maintain my idea that the Kalki 2 makers cannot afford her (and therefore try to demean her through a shady reasoning - following Vanga's tunes).
As for Prabhas albeit having got quite lazy in his acting, he definitely still has a fierce fan following and people in the industry who support him in every way possible (even - proven - cheating about the boxoffice as done in Salaar by paying for shows in theatres that didn't happen).
And please, don't forget that there is no concrete sign that Spirit and/or Kalki 2 are made whilst Atlee's movie and King are in the shooting stage.
