It's not that the Indian movie producer did something against Indian law because at the time the movie got in preproduction, then in production, the ban on actors with a Pakistani passport/nationality were allowed to be employed in Indian movies. In addition it has an Indian director and an Indian actress in the lead (and many other Indian crew members in the team. Also the movie was shot before the Pahalgam massacre and was scheduled for theatrical release... neither the filmmaker nor those having worked on the movie are responsible for what had been done in April or were involved in that abominable murdering.

I can understand that the ban on Pakistani working in the Indian filmindustry got renewed and also on Pakistani movies and social media accounts, but that movie had been finished before, so actually, mostly Indians got punished for not having done anything wrong/against a law.

Just to let members know here: I'm happy that most of the members here don't seem to be hostile to foreigners... Thank you for that. And thank you for India.forums to give also somebody from Germany a platform to write about Indian movies and also have an opinion about other things relative to India.

no need to write essays..bigotry has no logic..those who hate will hate..what next..indians in middle east / europe / canada / US should not work with pakistani in companies..and if an indian employee has a pakistani boss..they should not listen to him and quit the company..you don't need to be sorry..you have every right to express yourself..rise above bigotry and hate..more power to you!!

It should absolutely be banned and any actor even considering to act with any Pak performer in future should be punished under law . This should be enforced in strict terms.

No wonder there are so many sleeper cells of our neighborhood terrorist country with in our own.

And what action should be taken against the sports ministry , our HM, our PM for allowing us to play Pak again even with so much anger and outrage against playing Pak??? Patriotism should only be shown by people from the entertainment industry and Neeraj Chopra, eh???

Fear is a major part when repressing self-respect and do according to power systems...so did Karan...and once done, it is hard to get the former position back again...not everybody in the Hindi filmindustry gave in to fear...some still do the tightrope act between self-respect and responsability towards depending people. Actually, doesn't life in general is about how to deal with fear?

tbh i don't blame him..he was getting a lot of hate and anyone in his position would have done the same..this was not early 2000s where art bridged gaps and people had a voice and right to use it..you either say what they want to listen or else you stay mum..he did the right thing..
