The only people who got played are the gullible public, be it the Indian or Pakistani. This movie was never going to be released in India as per the ban on the Pakistani actors after the operation Sindoor. And there was already a ban placed on the Indian movies in Pakistan for years. But this movie not just got a release but also earned even more than the last Hania release in Pakistan.Go figure!

Is Neeru celebrating the success like the jerk is?

And why not? Controversies have always been part of the outcome a movie has at the box office...

Several cinemas in my area screen the movie over the weekend - with success ... one isn't very fond of the movie's ban in India as the movie had been shot at a time when the ban over Pakistani actors/actresses working in India had been lifted by the Indian government... in addition, in many minds here, the Pakistani involvement in the murdering of Hindu male tourists in Baisaran/Pahalgam didn't get proved, only asserted (which doesn't eliminate the Pakistani involvement of harbouring and supporting Islamic terrorism - which exists since decades despite of ban or no ban of artists or movies).

I bet that even in India, the movie is watched (albeit not in theatres).

Art and sports could actively help to overcome politically made borders, but, alas, that collides with a wished and propagated 'enemy-image' (from both sides).

And this is why the producers released the film, its doing so well, people are watching it and want to watch it, the producers are going to make a profit.

I thought hania is in this movie, funny her name is omitted from the title

If I put her name people will only discuss that rather than the movie

I am not discussing the reasons for the ban or the merits/demerits thereof . I just put forth the actual current status of the Pakistani actors in India. It doesn’t matter when the movie was shot. If that is what it is, it will be what it is, until the ban is lifted.

My point is about how the producers and actors have milked the issue by making blatantly provocative statements and used the responses as promotional material.
