Are we now blaming Karan and Zoya for the sheer incompetence of these good for nothings? It’s pretty blatant that Archies was written to accommodate the extra ordinarily limited skill set those three have. And is clearly the same here.
bold: Oh yes, at least I do exactly that...I would always blame the more experienced people over the less experienced ones if they don't talk about what needs to be addressed.
As for Nadaaniyan, I've watched it now...it is so easy to drown this movie in mean sarcasm as obviously so many would applaud that. Yet for all the flaws this movie has, it also has some strengths...and that's the same with Kushi and Ibrahim...they have some very good scenes - together and apart/with others - and most of the emotional scenes, they got right.
The same goes for direction, screenplay, dialogues and editing...the not-good is balanced with good things...I can relate to some performances/scenes and I also see the really bad parts. I got the strong feeling that the movie lacked an experienced guiding. Imo, it is not the disaster some here touted it, but it should have been better at least on the content level.
