Ranveer was also heavily trolled for the episode where people were calling him a cuckhold, memes were made of him. Both ranveer and deepika must have decided to not give the reactions any of their attention. Tbh whenever ranveer and deepika have gotten trolled they very rarely react or give it any attention to it. Sometimes the best thing to do is not react to not fan the flames or make it worse.

Iirc kjo addressed it in the next episode or after a few days of incessant trolling? And, no calling such deep-rooted, violent hatred for women "ridiculous" doesn't cut it.

Even the taunts of cuckhold are about not controlling women enough. I don't think Ranveer keeping quiet helped it much. He was being painted as a victim by bigoted incels and should have stood up for his wife but also for literally any woman.

No I do get what you are saying. But, imho, not taking a stand did not make it die down quietly. The gross things people hurled at Deepika during pregnancy were due to him not taking a stand back then.

What? I strongly disagree with that. People were calling deepikas pregnancy fake, saying she is doing surrogacy, how would ranveer saying anything about the kwk episide have any connection to the stupid things people said during her pregnancy? Even if ranveer did say something about the kwk episode people would still have said all the nasty things during the pregnancy.

Ranveer stood up for their couple through photos, if I remember rightly... and focussed on becoming a father... words would have been nothing in a social media world that strives on demeaning others. In addition, 'gracing' with a comment Karan's way to present their couple ...no, I would not have liked that.
