Rani wasn't even eligible for the main actress win since her movie tanked. It's called Best Actress Popular for a reason. If anything, you should be questioning how biased Filmfare is for still nominating her.

She won awards in the past that others deserved. Still she got critics.

Kiarra should have won simple in case we take these awards seriously but personally who cares !!

Waqt waqt ki baat hai. In a couple of years, more undeserving winners will likely emerge, and people will gripe about them. Maybe Alia's own fans will lament about how unfair Filmfare has become.

there was lack of solid performances from popular female category this year. nominated were : alia, kiara, rani, Taapsee, Deepika, bhumi.

if anyone close enough to win over alia was Kiara, not saying more deserving than alia ; alia won due to more popularity. and that's what filmfare popular category is about. decent, popular performance.

critically I say Shefali in 3 of Us swallows all. Rani being okay was also given a critics award. just be happy.

RK, Manoj bajpayee, Vikrant, Pankaj Tripati, RS, Vicky, Shah, Sunny, even if you check the critics nominations, just brilliant!

RK won for animal due to solid performance and popularity

Vikrant won critics, he delivered a critically acclaimed performance and yes commercially success as well.

well I am sad or want to cry cos i wanted to see Manoj Bajpayee get something cos seriously his 3 performances this year simply Top notch!

Either Rani or Kiara should have won.

Alia and FF robbed her for sho but no need to cry awards are overrated

Oh yes and she is all over once again , so much so that she has limit her comments on her SM posts, the unprecedented adulation coming her way too much to handle I guess
