Completely agree with your review. The movie was a khichdi of 3 idiots mixed with concept of illegal immigration. The jokes were so lame and dated. Disappointing movie overall.

Donkeys that used to pull ploughs or carts are often abandoned by their owners in favour of motorised vehicles and left to fend for themselves, forming free-roaming herds that can come into conflict with humans.

Basic premise of the movie itself it wrong.

At one hand the movie is trying to showcase the dreaded path of illegal immigration but couldn't depict even 1% of what actually goes in real life. The hardship, gore, struggle and specially the intensity is totally missing.

On other hand it want to advocate;

"Why there is need of VISA to go anywhere in the world ?"

The whole point is flawed. India too doesn't allow anyone without VISA (at least on arrival VISA) expect few of its neighboring countries. No prosperous country want their country to be flooded with immigrants, it will have strong impact upon that country's economy, social system, security and lots of things.

On the screenplay side the movie was neither funny nor with strong social message. Screenplay and script was half-baked.

On the performance and casting; SRK and Tapsee both were totally miscast for this kind of movie. SRK's current stature and status doesn't match this character. The chemistry between Tapsee and SRK was non existential.

Tapsee's puppy eyes trying to emote sympathy was too annoying.

The movie at best was an average fare which could have been made for OTT with all new faces with 20-30% of current budget with all new faces.

As bad as the trailer was, I am kind of sad to see it not doing as well as Pathaan/Jawaan. Used to love the action genre but it's an overdose now... this just gives filmmakers incentive to produce more trashy OTT patriotic films.

Seems like vidhu vinod hd lot of say in hirani movies smiley36

It's Abhijat Joshi. He used to write all Hirani movies. Kanika Dhillon of Ra.One fame wrote this one. To give her credit, the first half of that Kangana movie Judgmental was mind-blowing. But the second half was so underwhelming.

Btw, Hirani has overstretched his narrative sense. From Munna Bhai series, he carried on with Munna Bhai Chale IIT to Munna Bhai Bane Alien to Kabhie Munna, Kabhie Baba—only with different actors. Now, how many Munna Bhai movies can one filmmaker make! smiley17
