Why is Suhana not asked to correct her stance? She is giving me the worst case of secondhand embarrassment. Khushi is bearable mostly invisible. Agastya is awkward, reminding me of Abhishek in Refugee. So far I like that Ranveer lookalike ( don’t know the actor’s name) the most.

But each and every scene is dripping with cringe and pretense. Even the ones where the supposedly seasoned actors were there. Is this the same director who made Gully Boy, Luck By Chance etc? 😳

She is the only daughter of the richest man who went to London with his family for a couple of years. Back to Riverdale, he thinks, he can buy (or coerce) people to get his plans realized. His wife is just his wife, frequenting a circle of other women in the small town. Her parents mostly don't have time for her...she has to ask the secretary when she wants to talk to her father...

Veronica may have been a nice girl years ago, but now, she is an entitled brat with a quite snobbish attitude and a body language that borders on posing (I really liked this allusion to her assumed status as SRK's daughter - I found it courageous to seemingly overact knowing that it would get her more bashing than praise).

However, the inside Veronica is not very secure which becomes obvious when Betty accuses her (unfairly) that her (Betty's) father lost the book store because of Veronica's father. Instantly, Veronica's body language changes in a more natural one - she is genuinely shocked (no posing).

There are more moments with a revealing change in body language (e.g. when Betty opens up to Veronica about her feelings or when Veronica confronts her father or when she is genuinely sad).

In the same way, I could write about the other six actors and their acting...partly I did it in the Archies movie thread. Here, I just wanted to object to the superficial judgement (imo superficial) of Suhana's acting as she exactly did what she was meant to do.

Very few actors show up with their best in the first movie. It is on Suhana to improve now.

Why should she get a second chance? She grew up with all the right resources and access, why can't she deliver on DAY ONE?

Sonam is not a great actress but she wasn’t awkward at all in her first outing. And so was Ranbir. Heck even Deepika looked so good. None of the new kids in the movie have exhibited these qualities. Maybe except that 4th guy,

I will watch it and give a review. Blind haters have already dismissed Suhana. That might not be the actual case.

So whoever didn’t like Suhana’s acting is a blind hater?

Spin it however you want - she clearly sucks at acting.

Ok found his name. The guy who played Reg, Vedang Raina. He is the only good thing about this. The rest are just hogging it because of their last names.

Sorry guys, I tried my best but the screenplay was so drab and performances so pathetic that it’s hard for me to have any opinion on this. 😵‍💫😞
