For any film RK does, he will do anything what makers ask him to do, ye khud kabhi nahi sochega ke kya sahi kya galat. Jhaant jaisi Arjun Reddy ko bhi best bolega, I won't be surprised him & vanga justifying those female torture shown in Animal (As per censor).

Yeah. Seems like a promotional gimmick

Now Ranbir is turning problematic in public life too. He should have learnt from Shahid on how to keep control on your words. It seems Ranbir is desperate for a super hit but this ain't the way.

Hope he doesn't practice this love story in his real life. And no one from impressionable minds too.

Vanga needs treatment for sure. He is simply disgusting.

What did Shahid says about KS?

He can't do that with Alia, he said she'll beat him up (kuch dino pehle IF pe article aaya tha)

Ranbir also said that any kind of obsessive love is unhealthy in real life just yesterday.

Before judging the toxicity of Animal, I prefer to know more about the character Ranbir plays...

I don't believe one moment that what Ranbir said, he also meant. Those hyper praise seems usual to me during promotions and other public events...

I suppose, Animal (and its outcome) will at least tell something about Ranbir as an actor and a maybe superstar.

😄more than Alia, I think Papa KJo will make his life hell.

But his domination , control over Alia is already shared by none other than Alia herself- toilet, wipe it off, and Ranbir's dal chawal, stomping on dupatta

Shahid was defending Kabir Singh in KWK last year and Arjun Reddy actor was defending Arjun Reddy...in all this, Ananya Pandey had the best take (which was surprising).

Shahid take on Kabir Singh was very mature. He did say it was a dysfunctional relationship.

But it was an interesting take and an intense film and you should take it as a movie and not judge the film actors or makers for making that film which is true.

I mean same year Sanju also released and so many scenes in the film was problematic nobody called that out.

People were shocked(left liberals) that a South Indian had made the film and the film did do well.

The only problem was Vanga where though he was right to call out the biases also basically told that people slap each other in relationship I mean wtf was that.

Ranbir is only saying it as it is a Vanga film

I haven't seen Arjun Reddy, so cannot comment on it, but the character of Kabir Singh was selfish, narcissistic and controlling. At the start of itself he goes ye meri bandi hain to a classroom full of students without having spoken a word to her. He controls how she spends her vacation time or when she gets hurt and he decides that she is to move into the boy's hostel with him. He picks out a girl in the class because she is “healthy” and tells Preeti that she is to be friends with this girl because girls can't be friends unless a pretty girl is paired with with a 'healthy' girl, who serves as the 'teddy bear'.

Later he goes to Preeti's house to ask her hand in marriage and he decides to make out with Preeti outside her home. Her father is angry. Kabir calls Preeti's father “bewakoof”, he tells Preeti she has no identity aside from being Kabir ki bandi, he slaps her, then gives her an ultimatum of 6 hours.

When Preeti misses his ultimatum, a morphine induced high causes Kabir to black out for a couple of days. When he wakes up he realizes that Preeti has gotten married. Unable to accept this he storms into Preeti's house and is nicely beaten up by her family members.

Kabir goes into full on Devdas mode where we get introduced to the secondary characters cigarattes, daaru bottle and drugs. He attempts to rape a woman at knifepoint. He gets drunk, and performs surgery, and continues to yell at his colleagues. He even gets a dog, and calls her Preeti. Don't even get me started on that poor dog.

Later he passes out while performing surgery while intoxicated, and has to face a trial. At the trial he shows up drunk and he is very proud of the fact that when he was operating he did not harm anyone. Koi mar toh nahin gaya na. For the first time in the whole movie after all this drama he decides to take responsibility and be honest, his brother slaps him, because his license is suspended. While his friend offers toxic Kabir Singh his sister’s hand in marriage. Friend must have really hated his sister. WTF bro.

Throughout the movie we are given no insight or background into what makes Kabir Singh so angry or the reason he turned out the way he is. We see no growth in the character. We see very little consequences for his actions. No matter how many times he screws up the director then makes us feel sorry for him. The only thing we see is his license is suspended, but he behaves badly with the girl, still gets the girl. When he doesn’t get what he wants, he spirals out of control.

Kabir Singh, an "alpha hero", with all the romantic songs! This is why I am not watching Vanga's movies ever again.
