Thankfully, I have seen many mature and evolved men (in real life at least) who are educated and not into this kind of stuff.

And I agree, it's the age of the alpha male syndrome. It's minting money at BO so Ranbir is likely hitching his wagon to Vanga's train of thought in time.

unfortunately rk has gained a big toxic male fan following, they are relentless, they attack anyone who has a different opinion to them, and rk doing a film like animal is only fuelling them to do more. Rk i'm sure is aware of this but he isn't going to say anything just like other stars with such a fan following don't say anything about it, because they feel these kind of fans help them and their movies.

I just don't understand such fans, why be so abusive and fanatic over a star? It's such a waste of time and energy

He will loose half of his fan-base if he said anything against Vanga or anything in favor of women.

It's unfortunately how some stars are elevated in india, its on some god level, some fans buy bulk of their movie tickets, are on social media practically 24/7 promoting and defending the star in very aggressive and abusive ways, we have seen the videos of how some fans are reacting in cinemas, setting off fireworks and pouring milk over the stars photos, and no star will ever question or talk about this behaviour of fans because they don't want to lose the fanbase.

Rk already said he is fine with being used as the face to fight toxic masculinity, i mean that said it all.

This has been happening since many years, but has elevated a lot due to Social Media

I remember how toxic the fanbase of KGF franchise was at the time of its release.

People were literally scared of giving their honest opinion because they would be bombarded with a lot of abuses and hate...

yes social media has elevated it alot more

and it's also about getting as much box office as possible, 100cr, 200cr is not enough anymore, these stars and producers want 300 cr plus now, then it will be 400 cr plus, then 500 cr plus, this box office obsession is getting out of hand. I mean a movie by a certain star gaining just 200 crs is called a failure, a failure? This mindset is so toxic, instead of focusing on if a movie is good or not the focus is on box office only

I think Animal is Ranbir's last big film. Unless he wants to go the Sanjay Dutt way. He's going to lose a lot of mainstream credibility. I don't think films like this help an actor's persona.

Also he's aging really badly. His skin texture is atrocious - this is an airbrushed picture btw, in real life his skin is much worse.

Not to mention he acts like an idiot the other half of the time. Alia's wipe it off PR damage just got resolved.
