Fans repeating Reddit speculations is not confirmation. There’s no confirmation that Aish was the first one to have been offered a role in Jawan.

Ash fans are seriously reaching here. She’s beautiful, iconic, and a strong intelligent self made woman. But neither is she a victim nor are the Bachchans some evil family who are keeping poor poor super talented competition to Deepika and others from becoming the bestest thing in Bollywood 🙄. If she has no movie career currently it’s partially because she’s choosing not to work and partially because good roles in big movies for her age group are hard to find. When she found one in PS1-2 she did it.

All actors have to physically train to get into roles. Whether it is Hrithik or Salman or Katrina everyone requires that physical training so assuming Aishwarya cannot take a role because she lacks the physical shape is where I take umbrage. Like all other actors, she would be able to physically train to play the part. The difference between my comment and yours was you completely discounted her from the beginning to ever even play the part.

You have said she has no movie career now because she is choosing not to work but have you considered why she is not choosing to work? You have heard her patriarchal in-laws comment on who should be breadwinner of the family and even Abhishek saying he can see his father in different roles as an actor but his mother is not someone he can see as an actress in her movies. You do not think they are pressuring her to stay at home and rear the children?

I believe the vote was rigged against her. It has been well documented on here that the award was stolen from her. This is why I think Filmfare is a more accurate approximation of best performance, because Rani and Aishwarya (and Preity) have all proven themselves there over and over.
