First bold: No she wouldn’t have. SRK is romancing women who are 20 years younger than him. No way he would have taken a 48-49 year old Ash specially when she has not been in the best physical shape since the time Pathan and Jawan went into production.

Second bold: No it doesn’t. HNY barely became a hit (or maybe a semi hit) and that too with Deepika. Ash never had a bigger pull than Deepika. SRK approached Ash for a remake of an old Kishore Kumar Madhubala movie and she agreed to it but he got really caught up in Dilwale (and breaking records) and that movie was put on a back burner and eventually dropped.

If you want to blame anyone for her career then blame Salman. If he wasn’t an abusive 🍆 Ash would have had blockbusters like Veer Zara and hits like Chalte Chalte. SLB would have probably would made Bajirao Mastani back then with Ash like he always wanted to. Btw, I know SRK played a role here too and he’s not absolved.

Another user has already confirmed that Aishwarya was asked to do Jawan but she said no. I have given my thoughts on the matter. Also you shame her for her physical shape but if she had done the role, she obviously would ahve gone into training to look the part.

Happy New Year was the second highest-grossing film after PK. SRK and Aish's last film together was a blockbuster hit. There is no reason to think Happy New Year couldn't have done even better if Aish starred because audiences love this iconic jodi.

I believe everyone here is to blame, minus Aishwarya herself of course. Everyone has neglected her.

Also, the Khan family is no better. Both Salman's brothers had their wives divorcing them. Salman's own father shamelessly married another woman while his first wife was still right there. Bachchans (Amitabh and Jaya) are way better than them. It is Shweta that is the biggest problem here, after she moved back to Mumbai after separating from her husband, and then trying to create problems in her brother's marriage.

When - allegedly - Aish would have been contacted for starring in HNY, it would have been in 2012...Aaradhya was just an infant... no way, Aish would work in the movie.

The first movie she did after Aaradhya's birth had been with Irrfan (Jaazba) with working beginning in Jan 2015.

It was first PC who was approached, then other actresses (e.g. Katrina, Sonakshi, Parineeti). Then, after CE, Deepika came on board (when the shooting for CE was over, the shooting for HNY started).

No I’m not shaming her for her body. I’m saying she’s out of shape for action packed roles like Pathan or even Jawan. And aren’t you confirming her being out of shape by saying she would have gotten in shape for it?

Fans repeating Reddit speculations is not confirmation. There’s no confirmation that Aish was the first one to have been offered a role in Jawan.

Ash fans are seriously reaching here. She’s beautiful, iconic, and a strong intelligent self made woman. But neither is she a victim nor are the Bachchans some evil family who are keeping poor poor super talented competition to Deepika and others from becoming the bestest thing in Bollywood 🙄. If she has no movie career currently it’s partially because she’s choosing not to work and partially because good roles in big movies for her age group are hard to find. When she found one in PS1-2 she did it.
