Curious case of Alia Bhatt - Page 4

Actually, I don't like all this bashing of Alia that recently culminates...

Okay, she may not be (intellectually) educated, she may do/say stupid things in real life, she may take wrong decisions, she may get carried away with her feelings, she may want to give a certain image of herself and her marriage...but none of us is without flaws and wrong decision making.

I still think that she is a good actress when well directed.

Of all movies I watched with her only Brahmastra was a disaster and I think it is because of Ayan and his own feelings towards Ranbir and the fact that Karan 'forced' him to take Alia because she absolutely wanted to make a movie with Ranbir ... (and somehow I bet, Karan hoped to distance Ranbir from Ayan through Alia and that backfired in many ways)

Of course, nobody will openly talk about it, but I guess that Karan parted ways with Ayan because of all that... Ayan had already proved that he can do very good movies...Brahmastra - especially the writing part - was far below his abilities.

Ayan started as an assistant in Swades (and I bet his working got SRK's attention), then he was assistant in KANK (and I bet he got more than Karan's attention), then Karan gave him the opportunity to do Wake up Sid which made Ayan fall in love with Ranbir...etc, etc....

She didn't win over Tabu! Everyone won in diff categories

That's the point, I remember it being a big deal back then how Tabu was demoted to the supporting actress category to accommodate certain someone as the best actress over her, when she was quite clearly the main lead in Haider not Shraddha just like she was the main lead in Bhool bhulaiyaa not Kiara but thankfully she got recognised and nominated in the right category.😆

I can't remember exact details but I believe Kajol and Rani both asked Karan to make Ayan an AD. He's their cousin, and he worked in Swades because he is Ashutosh's BIL.

Alia had terrible dialogues and was bad, but she was there throughout the movie. He gave her a good role in terms of length and importance to the plot.

But who won the popular award ? Kangana. So if they’re talking in the most most basic terms of an award being robbed it was Kangana who did it.

I just cant reconcile someone saying Alia robbed Tabu when they werent nominated in same thing. An the thing people wanted Tabu nominated for was actually won by Kangana.

Yeah...always these long 'essays'...however, in my case, it's not because of Alia, but it's a (bad?) habit...maybe I write them because I know that certain people won't read them (???!!! 😉).
