Well, Wikipedia gives the budget of OMG2 as 150 cr...(Akshay is also a producer)

I got interested to watch other movies of Sunny because of the controversy relative to Darr (I found his performance okay and hero-like).

I watched Arjun and Damini and I have Ghatak and Ghayal on my still-to-watch list...until now I did not find them with English subtitles...

Apne is overtly melodramatic I felt. The way the father keeps emotionally blackmailing his poor children didn’t sit too well with me. But yes it has got its moments. Songs are especially beautiful.

will look out for it ... you're the 2nd one to mention it and what I read on Wikipedia is favorable, especially because it's with the real Papa & sons 😉 (I only hesitated to put it on the list because I don't like movies with boxing as a subject).

Yeah, not a big fan of Apne either....especially the second half. Everybody knows about Sunny D's big Blockbusters but some of the most underrated films I would recommend are Arjun Pandit, Samundar & Lootere.

And how underrated has Juhi gotten anyways. She was a national crush at one time & the only actress I can think of who made 🔥🔥🔥 pairs with every top actor. Aamir, SRK or Sunny.

I liked Soni Mahiwal also. Of course it was only his third movie when he was still in the romance genre. Yateem, Dacait for his acting and content. Not sure if they were hit at the BO or not. Joshillay is pretty underrated too, but the print available on the YT is pretty bad. Sunny should take up these movies and remaster them and out them on YT. Red chillies bought over most of his movies already and making money on them on YT.

Lootere has an interesting cast and subject/story (I'll add it to the list), Samundar is early Sunny and I had already experienced him in Arjun (also I don't know where - and when - to watch it) and Arjun Pandit is a remake of Om (the Kannada movie) and I mostly prefer the originals.

I am so glad you watched it. And my review is ditto. I was blown away by the acting, the content and how the movie is still relevant after nearly 30 years. But you won’t find this timeless classic being mentioned in any of the lists. Even the most frivolous movies like Raja Hindustani and Dil to pagal hai make to these so called lists but none of Sunny’s movies. And then we take dig at him that he is not relevant anymore. I was just lucky to find him accidentally thanks to Haila_tu, atominis, panganale who spoke highly of Sunny in a Gadar related thread a couple of months back.

Raja Hindustani😆😆 seriously, even for an Aamir fan like me, that movie is a big NO😆 pretentious movie reviews did a great takedown on that stupid movie🤣

I agree, Sunny has some pretty legendary films in his filmography..Border ofcourse being one of the biggest as well..he is his own style in terms of acting...I am not a huge fan of natural actors..who just play one role again and again, and people hail them for their "natural" performances..(I am looking at ya RK😆)

Singing a song of #Gadar2 in his own film while clashing with the same needs big heart & guts.. Then celebrating the success of both the films testifies the fact that #AkshayKumar is one of the most secure actor we have in the industry.. #OMG2
