Tried watching it.The starting was not all that bad. It is about a guy who is all about maintaining his false image because he hasn't achieved anything big in his life. All his decisions are taken to cater to and maintain this image. Then Jhanvis character enters who is a perfect foil to Ajju (Varuns) character. She is beautiful, well educated and belongs to a business family. There is only 1 drawback she has epilepsy about which she informed Ajju. The marriage had many pros and only 1 con, so they get married.
Till here it was going fine, but Ajjus reaction to the epilepsy attack was so pathetic that I couldn't get over it. Yeah I get needing some time to process it and come to terms with it. But making your wife almost a recluse for 10 months, not taking her anywhere, not even to her maayka, not communicating with her. Saying that you can't go with her because she might go into "vibration mode" anytime. Sheer insensitivity of portrayal is shocking. You can say that there might be many people who might react like this in real life. Sure, there might be, but then they can't be called a hero or even a good hunan being. That vibration comment for her epilepsy attack was enough to make his character irredeemable for me. Yes protagonists might have flaws but being an overall nasty human being won't make me root for them.
After that, the whole episode of a middle class family giving away almost 10 lakhs rupees for Europe trip so that Ajju can cover up his mistake was so unrealistic.
Anyway I stopped watching as soon as they left for Europe because Ajju was already insufferable for me. Plus the whole premise of making them go to Europe was so stupid. I don't even want to know with how much callousness and insentivity the second world war would be treated.
Varuns was OK in his portrayal, nothing great. Jhanvi was decent in her role. Supporting cast was fine. 1.5/5 for first half. No interest in watching second half.
