Maybe they would have seen the movie in theatres. Given the atrocity/nonsense from the start, the Airport scene might have come across as a relief, therefore, hilarious (within the movie's context).
i so excited to see shraddha in bikini, nothing else mattered for me

Most Indian girls in the west would not be ok with having the guy's entire family around 24-7. That does not mean they are selfish and want the man to themselves. It just means they need privacy and space from an entire group of people. The same way a girl leaves her family behind and she does not totally stop interacting with them. The man can do the same. Ranbir's family in the film was cute. But probably most girls would be in Shraddha's character's position.
You can very much stay in touch with your family and be under a different roof. Spend quality time with you wife and kids. And take out a slotted amount of time to spend with you parents and relatives. A proper compromise would have been them building a separate flat upstairs or moving next door. But no as most movies of the director the girl had to be shown wrong.
And Shraddha and Ranbir were both bad. IMO!
Well said..
And regarding film I agree with the last line only coz couldn't manage to watch it beyond 10 mins đ it was so cringe.
Everyone who watched it..u have high patience levels đ
No it dint..Luv Ranjan dint even make it a proper misogynistic movieđ ..he was on the fence..so it was neither here nor there..đand highly stupid and RK and Shraddha got on my nerves in the first half with that clownish theatrical style of dialogue delivery..idk what was that touch even. SKTKS anyday over TJMM
I could not watch it beyond 15 minutes. dialogues are chhapri, Sharadha was overacting like Sara.
her surgery face was visible
@TM: Agreed.

I didn't like the concept of the full on relationship they showed. There is nothing cultural nowadays.
You prefer half-ass relationships, half-girlfriend? đ˛
It wasn't a stupid reason. People have different lifestyles and privacy preferences. There is absolutely nothing wrong with desiring more personal space. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to spend more one-on-one time privately with a romantic partner. Of course how it was addressed with duplicity and without transparency was exceptionally stupid.
Originally posted by: carisma2 I hate how they all begged at her feet in the end. Why is feminism gone this extreme in movies to show the whole family has to go beg her, when their intentions were never wrong.
I didn't find this explicitly feminist in any way, either. Mickey was in love with her and needed her to be happy. If it were a job Mickey wanted, they would have pleaded with the boss. If it were a college admission Mickey wanted, they would have pleaded with the principal. If it were Eras Tickets, Mickey wanted, they would have paid for the best-scalped seats. They just wanted to do whatever made Mickey happy because Mickey always tried to make them happy.

The only thing that didn't make sense is her not addressing this with him because she was scared of heartbreak? She was afraid he would chose his family over her. (Which he did.) But she was ok with triggering him to break up with her anyway for a completely different reason. Was that not heartbreak too?
Not addressing it transparently and directly is what infuriated me.
My interpretation of her choice was different, though. Mickey had promised that he would never leave her. She did not want him to go through the turmoil of choosing between her and his family, two of the things most important in his life. Because when you choose, there often is buyer's remorse, FOMO, regret, and resentment that haunts you for a long time before you can move on. That is why she wanted to give him a compelling reason to break up with her. That way, it wouldn't be a forced choice but a personal decision that is easier to live with.
So we are all in agreement this film was awful đ
