Most actresses have had bad choice in men.

I mean look at Karisma who married a creep.

Or Sridevi who married Boney.

Or how Ash fell for likes of Vivek and Salman before she married Abhishek (who is not a creep).

I guess we should have a separate topic on why women who are pretty and successful, fall for crap men.

She herself admitted that she never had the drive and discipline to have her career at the forefront of her life.

She was boring to watch in my opinion. Other than Main Hoon Na and her two item songs, I have never been impressed with her on screen

She became a single mom around age 24. That must have taken a toll on the work-life balance.

Sush always had this bold image, so she was mostly seen as someone who would be suitable for roles like the one she had in Biwi No. 1. No one would offer her Karishma's role in Biwi No. 1 at the time.

I think today actors are stereotyped less and have more opportunities compared to when Sush and all debuted. At that time actresses were supposed to look a certain way and be a certain way off camera to bag lead roles. They preferred actresses with the innocent, docile, good girl tag.

Sush was too much for people to digest. With her open affairs and confidence to call out people.

Also, she was never known as an "actor". She was stereotyped as a glamourous diva. I have only seen 1 film of hers, Main Hoon Na. And she was Sush in the film, not Ms. Chandni.

Lets hope OTT gives her a chance to explore and prove her mettle. Also improve her craft.

She never intended to be the no. 1 commercial heroine in Bollywood. She's known her mettle outside films, in business. I think she prolly did movies because at the time whoever had won the crown entered the glamour industry. She was also young and movies was probably easy money. As she got older, she discovered other areas she could excel in and pivoted as to her personal liking.

She was diagnosed with some autoimmune condition and was on meds. Maybe Movies took a backseat then
