They are just likable on screen for one or two movies and become highly unlikable due to consistent PR activity and their PDA's.they are confused wannabe with unwanted loud makeups and dressing. They shouldn't be admired or even considered a Star because stars though universal , each of us are connected with it.Its the power of NATURE..unlike these people who are very superficial, artificial , confused and clueless people busy in making a life that's Alien to our Nation.

I feel it's good and better not to be obsessed over these people.

IKR. I don’t understand star culture Tbh. And people hounding these guys for pics all the time and treating them like some gods.

True that 😆

Apne kaam se matlab rakhte hai...

If your movie is worth watching (with a good script and acting) I'll go watch it but if not I ain't going to waste my time... can't flock to theaters to watch movies without plots and acting *coughs* Pathaan *coughs* Akshays recent movies *coughs* Shamshera

Most of genz PPL don't even watch Hindi films. They're obsessed with HW & Korean dramas. Even if they watch, they don't care who's the star of the film (Teenager simps )

why even gen z

nowadays a lot of middle class women are also watching k drama or turkish series

wait till some channel like goldmines dubs those korean series into local languages and releases it

a lot of attachment to films or fimstars is when you grow up seeing your parents etc watching them

as you said genz is not watching when growing up itself

Yes.they are followed for all nonsense..And when one opens up Instagram, all I could see is people immitating the actors and making reels.. Enjoying movies for entertainment is good! But celebration is unwanted.

I agree most films stars are doing are crap in recent years.

Earlier being star meant that people would watch a film just for you, no matter what crap or repetitive content it was. This is why Kaka, Bachchan got away with repetitive and silly films too and so did Khans and Govinda in 90s.

What I meant was that do new generation people fight anf argue over stars online or in real life like we have had arguments and fights over Khans, Akki or older gen still fights over Kaka, Bachchan, Sri, Madhuri, Hema, Rekha online and compare their BO records, acting and whatnot and take their success or failure like some personal prestige issue?

Is there any star now who has craze like that to make people, say, argue or fight for them online, defend or promote them online or fight over their BO records or controversies or collect their pics, wallpapers or vote for them in awards or see their awards as own achievements or bunk school or tuition or college to see a film or a star's real life concert or stage show like older generation fans did?

I don't think anyone Ik from my generation who is crazy about any star... over exposure to this actors has made us realise that they are not perfect and many of them dont even deserve being idolized

Honestly we don't care about any previous or upcoming records, if we like something we watch it if not we don't.. . Records and box office collections are crap... I can name quite some movies which dont deserve the collection they have...

I don't think so there's any star rn or in the upcoming years... most of this BW people abuse drugs, alcohol, are unfaithful to people... I can't be blind for a person like that... Ik people who have given their life in serving others and can be idolized... also at the end of the day they are just entertainers not anyone special

But I am sure you can still some crazy fans from our gen but the numbers have reduced significantly..

Its hilarious how people are trying to project the new generation as a more matured species with better taste 🤣🤣🤣

Like someone said, all you need to do is open tiktok and understand how mature the new gens are as far as content goes. It's the short attention span that is responsible for them not being able to fixate on a single personality for more than a few minutes. I mean these days, even 7 second videos come with the captions 'watch till the end'.

And the stars are just over exposed. They are in your face all the time. You know everything about them from short videos. The previous generation had to sit through long interviews and read long articles to get some sort of info about their favorites. That counted as an investment and led to being attached to those stars. ' 10 reasons why so and so is like this' slideshows are not going to have the same impact

Also the reasoning that we can't idolize people with bad habits it's really funny. Drug use, drinking and smoking are at an all time high. Lets not kid ourselves here on new gen looking for better role models 😀

No generation is better or worse. Times change, technology changes
