BOI is valued among fans and trade (barring TA/KN). Hence what it reports holds a lot of importance.

But if choice is the criteria then no body can argue.

My stance with Taran is the same...there was this SRK movie that BOI gave higher figures than Taran...I still went by TA's figures...

BOI is biased, they can't write articles and they don't know their calculations...that is why their figures will change every 6 weeks...they keep changing the status of the movies according to their whims and fancies....They are not trustworthy at all.

Okay, so I suppose the female character not being an evil bitch and just misguided was Luv's idea of a progressive film 😆

The film is fairly funny, so I can see why the reception is positive. But the final ending with Shraddha deciding she was the one who was wrong or whatever really sours the whole film for me. Like the airport climax scene is genuinely the funniest climax chase scene I have seen since Jaane Tu, but the immediate epilogue just really undercuts it. They couldn't just give her a separate house 5 blocks away, like even that would make it slightly easier to digest. Or have her family be involved at all.

Like, she makes a point about how she never saw her mother get acceptance in her dad's house and there is that really subtle scene of her mom going away into the kitchen while the family is deciding about the wedding, and only she goes to ask for her mom's opinion. But the rest of the film doesn't really follow through on the idea. Like the mother is so important to Shraddha, but you never get Ranbir trying to gel in with her family? A better film would have them realize that they truly are both good people but aren't meant for each other, and Shraddha to leave, but it's Bollywood so you get a wrong kind of happy ending.

The basic plot is contrived, down to the Tuffy style climax revelation. We were talking about Punjabi films, so I guess in a lot of ways, this is basically a Gippy Grewal film. Guy has a secret and is lying to the girl, comedy of error ensues. Ranbir's funny, Bassi supports well as the foil. Shraddha also does well, till the final scene, she can't really do the tough bits of acting. Dimple is the highlight of the film. Everyone else has little to do. It passes by fairly quickly, even the songs, which is always good. And Shaitan is right, both of them are easy on the eyes. 😆

My only complaint is the audio in the songs. Could’ve been better.

Ranbir- uff uff. His one eyebrow acts better than all gen z actors combined. He was perfection. His voice has never shaken me the way it has in this movie. Never noticed how deep his voice is. Maybe it’s cuz he’s a dad now? I always find dads hot

Shraddha- I think her peak is starting now! Great acting and even better look. I think after her Aashiqui 2, this is her only other good acting performance. Haven’t liked her in other movies (acting wise) also can we talk about her goddess like body? She just need a good mentor and better opportunities and she will shine. Although her career may be over soon?

On a side note, I have always gotten a Tamasha vibe from the promos, but it genuinely felt like he was parodying Tamasha on purpose. The holiday romance, the heads resting on the bar, the driving scene right out of Safarnama, even the filmy dialogues on beachside. I can see why they were initially trying to get Deepika. Funnily enough, that film also has the same problem. Deepika's family is an afterthought, like Shraddha's family is here. They really need a woman to help with the writing process.

Oh and Karthik/Nushratt are also really fun in their scenes, especially Nushratt

okay movie looks very cheap in some scenes gives like 2010 vibes and outdated… songs are a flop i wish album was better besides 1 song its a flop for me. I dont understand why people highly rate Shraddha shes so OTT and Ranbir was the only good thing

The movie was total crap. OMG look Shradha's acting it was awful, Ranbir was hot and miss, the loud and obnoxious supporting cast was too much even Bassi was not that funny and looked out of place. The movie was simply snoozefest
