This applies to every film. Most films eventually make profit otherwise films would not continue to be made.

Unfortunately (and bizarrely IMO), in India box office designations of flop/hit/blockbuster have nothing to do with producers/studios making profit and everything to do with distributors making profit. So, unless they sold the distributor rights for 20cr it's going to take more than 40cr in box office.
