There is a lot of heart in Pathaan. And he has his romantic and bromantic moments

Who picked their release date first? Regardless T-series probably should have changed it a while back, but I think they considered a few factors here and made a decision. One that the last few SRK movies haven’t worked. Two, BB2 was a bonafide blockbuster in a very bad year like 2022. Three they probably overestimated karthik’s star power while also underestimated SRK’s return. Keeping all of this in mind they took a calculated risk, which honestly at the time it probably made sense on paper. Also Pathan’s numbers and hype have surpassed everyone’s expectations so there’s that.

This is risky this close to release date. Another issue is that the original is releasing a Hindi version on YouTube or some other platform today or tomorrow I believe. And Kjo’s Selfie is releasing on the 24th. Selfie is probably flopping too but it will still take screens away from Shehzaada.

&Bold: yes that would have been a smarter move. But movie is probably doomed anyway. I suspect they wouldn’t have postponed it at all if they felt their movie had proper hype 11 days before its release. So question is can it gain anything now?

I am actually not sure who picked their release date, but the fact that they didn’t know people wouldn’t want to spend money at the movies so soon after khan and an avatar movie seems like a rookie mistake to me, given its t series that’s producing it.

I agree this movie is doomed because telegu folks are releasing the Hindi dub version anyways BEFORE the original release date. can I say how shady is that?😂😂

So you have the original with subtitles, then the Hindi dub version, before the remake is released? This is a bad choice of movie to remake.

i feel bad for karthik, he had the odds stacked up against him, and I don’t think he can save this movie. If he does by some miracle, I’ll believe he is a superstar in the making!

Waise, bad decision. Postpone na karte toh they could have blamed the failure on pathaan. Now they’ll have to take the failure for what it is. 😛

And Quantumania (Antman and the Wasp) is releasing on the 17th also. Yea it might already be over for Shehzaada
