Well said. Khan movies get first day audience anyway regardless of reviews.

They work on either star hype or WOM. Reviews mean jackshit to Khan films.

Because the 1st time its me or one other person as we go to the 1st show and usually they during the day so we can see it in peace. Then I try go with a group of people in the evening same day and we cheer as long as others are too. But I have seen some in Salman movies dancing and saying bhai aaga lol !! And this is a regal theater with reclining seats and you can order get food and have it served to you as you enjoy the show!! Love this movie theater !! And most have gotten to know me there as it’s my go to theater

They worked. Aamir works in fits and starts. He can be really good or really meh.

Thugs of Hindustan was waste of a good cast. Imagine casting Aamir and Amitabh first time together only to make trash like that. Aamir's avatar in it looked weirdo too.

Aamir works best on festive dates, in message based films or films which have emotional base despite being masala films, such as Ghajini. He usually did well in clashes, like Dil and Lagaan released with Ghayal and Gadar. Gadar left Lagaan behind but Lagaan still did not flop.

Aamir can't do with clashes now and without high prices tickets, multiplexes and carpet bombing marketing. His films post Dangal are not marketed in his trademark style either. IDK if he is messed up in his head as his professional and personal life, both are in shambles. His brother still speaks to media against him. His second wife also left him. His films are flopping. His old political statements come back to haunt him. He'll probably need some social message film again like RDB uplifted him post flop of Mangal Pandey, his divorce and the flak he got after Jessica Hines controversy.

He seems to want to be director now or focus on launching son. Acting or competing as an actor do not seem to be his priority given the white hair and wrinkles he is openly sporting of late.

I did not like PK and D3 either but they broke records which means audience lapped it up and liked him in those films.

I only prefer Dangal, 3I, Ghajini, TZP, RDB in his recent work. I never even watched Thugs of Hindustan. I avoided Secret Superstar as I found domestic violence hard to watch. I did not like Dhobighat. I found Talaash okay. Mixed opinion about it.

Most stars do remakes of masala films. Like Salman did Ready, Wanted, Bodyguard that are already hits in South. But I agree, Salman has natural screen presence for masala films like ETT, Dabangg that Aamir does not have. SRK was weak in masala and action too. Success of Pathaan is a surprise in that sense as action was never considered his forte.

Aamir's script sense has gone to dogs now. LSC may have had its heart in right place but it was too slow, boring, dull, choppy, unrealistic and deffo a bad adaptation of Forrest Gump. Probably Aamir's weakest film in years. Makes one wonder why he spent so many years on *that*?

He should do the Gulshan Kumar Biopic
