I did not like PK and D3 either but they broke records which means audience lapped it up and liked him in those films.
I only prefer Dangal, 3I, Ghajini, TZP, RDB in his recent work. I never even watched Thugs of Hindustan. I avoided Secret Superstar as I found domestic violence hard to watch. I did not like Dhobighat. I found Talaash okay. Mixed opinion about it.
Most stars do remakes of masala films. Like Salman did Ready, Wanted, Bodyguard that are already hits in South. But I agree, Salman has natural screen presence for masala films like ETT, Dabangg that Aamir does not have. SRK was weak in masala and action too. Success of Pathaan is a surprise in that sense as action was never considered his forte.
Aamir's script sense has gone to dogs now. LSC may have had its heart in right place but it was too slow, boring, dull, choppy, unrealistic and deffo a bad adaptation of Forrest Gump. Probably Aamir's weakest film in years. Makes one wonder why he spent so many years on *that*?
