Yes, you can infact be be pro-Palestine and not be a vile anti-semite. It seems like you don't understand nuance. Anyway, I find the post quite disingenuous. The whole film is screaming its bias and you want me to pinpoint one dialogue. 😆

An entire movie is screaming bias but you can’t pinpoint one single scene or dialogue that proves your point? Thank you for proving my point.

LOL! yeah sure. Go ahead and delude yourself.

The point that the film is not attacking muslims as a community is just so disingenuous.

The fact that this movie was the first big hit after the pandemic and brought people back to the theatre speaks volumes. Public has spoken and we know where they stand. These film festivals that no one attends hardly have any merit

sev.puri and HMR, in a previous poste I clearly wrote that "There is no doubt that the subject of TKF is some to be needed to tell" and yes, it is an atrocity done by humans against other humans (if there is a need, one can give a community's name to the word "human" and also a name to the atrocity done).

Still, there are different ways to tell such a happening...Agnihotri chose one that is questionable by those who see a propangandistic touch in it (but probably understandable).

There are people who see this touch and there are people who don't see it, but should that be a reason to insinuate that the former want to belittle anything of the atrocity done?

I think it is okay to have different views, but imo, it is not okay, to put a label on those who question the way, Agnihotri depicts the exodus and what led to it. (Movie critics have done it as well and there were movie critics who didn't it.)

There also may have been too much silence but to hint at a "conspiracy of silence" is also questionable (imo).

Well, I feel that - especially in a (socio-political drama) movie that goes straight to the heart of people - nuance is important.

What is nuance here?

1. What led to it? Kashmiri Pandits were not settlers. They were indigenous to the valley. They weren't committing crimes against the Muslim community. They were still were slaughtered or driven out.

2. Jewish people had a Schindler to depict as nuance. Kashmiri Pandits had no one. Perhaps out of fear, perhaps out of sympathy toward terrorist causes, not one of their neighbors tried to stop what was going on. Those are facts.

I'm not hinting at a conspiracy of silence. I'm telling you there was one. Media blackouts, political silence, the arts... no one said anything.

Thirdly, naming the enemy is important. Islamic terrorism. Humans against other humans puts it on the same level as street corner mugging. It's not. This is mass murder in the name of religion. Calling it what it is puts the impetus on regular people who remain silent to speak up. They will either support them or refute them as not Muslims. I would hope a vast majority does the latter. These mass murderers need to be thrown out of their own community. So call them what they are.

Exactly.....nothing has changed for the KPs..😭...everything changed for Agnihotri and his clan after he minted money out of the KPs plight......KPs are still struggling and asking for justice......sadly none of these are seen there anymore....ye paisa lekar world tour karne mein laga hua hai....🤢🤢
