I meant something like a biopic on Cleopatra. Her story through her eyes, her thought process, her motives, her ambitions, her vulnerabilities, her strengths..

Instead of making stupid movies like gehraiyan why don't Bollywood make such movies ..

Yes she was Egyptian but with Greek/Macedonian Origin so sure she was not dark skinned.

Egyptians are North Africans right? They are not as dark as west Africans. Also they were ruled by Greeks before Roman Byzantines for decades so a lot of mixing happened too. I'm not sure but I think Cleo is the last ruler from the Greek Ptolemaic kingdom.

Ash, DP or even a young Tabu would be most perfect for the role.

PS: According to recent findings it is believed Cleopatra is of mixed ancestry white and African.

DP and Ash may have the look down but they'll ruin the role as soon as they open their mouths. Cleopatra was a vixen, a strategist and a weapon by herself who annihilated people with her charm and brains. She is not all looks. Only actresses with great acting prowess can pull off her role.

This is exactly the role of Nandini in PS1 and Ash aced it so she would pull Cleopatra off with ease as well.

But she wasn't light-skinned either. You have to realize that neither Hellenistic Greece and Macedonia nor ancient Rome were white. There was a lot of intermixing with the Seleucid and Achaemenid empires as well.

So Cleopatra while is not a Lupita Nyong'o is not an Elizabeth Taylor either. She could be anywhere between Yara Shahidi to Sarah Shahi.

Cleopatra was such a delicious character. Movies make her very flat and uninteresting.

On topic: maybe Sam. Or Vidya Balan.
