Actor nahi director, screenplay pe depend karta , last ai

Iska matlab ye nahi ki Ramayan ke liye Akshay ko le lo

Casting sahi hona chahiye lekin Director aur Writer, costume aur set design, dialogues bahut jyada important hain koi bhi epic banane ke liye

Abhi Rajamouli ek scene mein Ram dikha diya

Yahi Prabhas jab Bahubali kiya tha to sab sochte the ki ye Ram ka role achche se kar lega

Abhi Bhagwan ka jo paramparic veshbhusha hai wo nahi dikhayenge to audience connect nahi hogi

Bira ko Ram banayenge usko acting bhi ata hai

No one. They should have casted some new faces and made an OTT series instead.

That's ACTUALLY would've been a good idea.

Having an OTT series would've allowed them to deeply explore the characters without the boundaries of limited screen time.

Releasing on OTT would've reduced the pressure of casting good "stars"😵 and the makers could've cast good "actors" instead.

Also, it would've been the first OTT adaptation of Ramayan. 👍🏼

I am amazed no one has thought of it already.😆

It would have also reduced the budget for casting drastically, which in turn they could have used for the VFX.

They should go for theatre actors. Young fresh faces

I mean i would love to see Ranbir play Ram and Krishna. I so want him to play Krishna. Krishna would be dream come true for any actor.

Ranbir can definitely play it. Rajneeti is the biggest proof of that I want him to go back to playing more grey shaded character like Samar.

But theatre actors would be good too. They will not bring any past baggage with them. Which i think is helpful in current political climate.

Unless they are going to reduce lord Ram’s story to a coming of age story of a young confused naujawan I don’t see how ranbir will fit this role

After looking at your post, I went to YouTube to have a look at the trailer, and I totally agree with your review on this.

They are selling us crap in the name of Ramayan

❤️
Lord Rama can be simply described as a man who displays perfect moral as well as social behaviour. Lord Rama, in the words of Swami Vivekananda, is “the embodiment of truth, of morality, the ideal son, the ideal husband and above all, the ideal king”. He is a symbol of the victory of right over the evil

I can totally see Hrithik nailing it

I think they biggest mistake they have done is focusing too much on VFX. Ramayan as a story is fairly simple, straight-forward (unlike Mahabharat) and does not require excessive use of CGI and VFX.

A lot of it is a tale of Ram-Sita-Lakshman's vanvaas and their encounters in the forest, which can easily be handled with sets and practical effects.

Only the battle scenes and some major milestones like Ram Setu, Sanjeevani parvat, etc. require effects. They just had to get the look and feel of the movie right, keeping the simplicity, in check and that would have been half the job done.
