It ain't a passing meme material, it is something that amuses you because of the amount of hardwork, thought and grandeur put into it along with crazy hardcore emotion. You just can't write it off either ways. Given a chance, if such a spectacle is repeated, people would only be more interested in it.

Fair point. I do think Rajamouli is in a very enviable position right now. Festival circuits and trade will line up for his next few films. Rajamouli single handedly opened the Hindi speaking markets for Telugu films. He could open up opportunities abroad also.

@vcs17 Also agreed. I think a lot anyway gets lost in translation. I can't speak for RRR, but I have seen subtitles translating a completely different movie with Hindi/Punjabi films. 😆

@Both I was just messing. I haven't seen the film. 😆

Half the time I don't understand American desis complaining white people don't know this or that or whatnot about India.

I mean. It's not their country. They wouldn't know much about France either, beyond Paris and Eiffel Tower.

Come to think of it, American whites don't know much about the U.S., either. So there is that.

And movie audience watches primarily for entertainment. What else are the movies for? 😕 Actually, RRR was primarily made as spectacle entertainment, and audience lapped it up,

Tho phir problem kya hain, people?😆

I don’t think so. I have spoken with at least 5-6 people who have no connection to India and yet they praised RRR and told me they loved it.

RRR is very popular here in USA as far as what I have seen and heard.

Reviews I heard were genuine praises for story and direction. My colleague liked Bheem fighting with Britishers. Neighbor liked Animal scene and awesome direction. Last sequence of Bheem rescuing Ram. So it wasn’t some one line reviews. Detailed ones and so it made me believe that the movie is genuinely liked here in USA.

May be not younger gen z. But millennials and older gen liked it.

Not only whites. Many Americans I have met is not good in history.

I have asked this to 15-20 people so far.

Why are Native Americans called Indians, do you know?
And everyone is like.. hmmm interesting question. Never thought about it.

I was like didn’t they teach you in history class. Coz we sure did learn it. If you wanna try, ask this question to an American and see them go hmm.

Columbus I think is more popular in India than America. 😆
