same as a ben hur, lawrence of arabia, gladiator, brave heart

its not lie edgar wright and adam mc kay will publicise it otherwise or rrr movie crew have the money or clout to generate that level of response

@ bold , I didn’t get it 😕 can u explain pls

i meant to say the response RRR is getting is organic, you can pay and get some you tubers to praise for publicity

the names i mentioned are big shots, directors of movies which have won bafta, golden globes, academy awards

why will they praise some random movie they never heard of before unless they like it and feel so

and RRR team does not have the clout to generate that kind of response otherwise

true to some extent, but it is valid for all movies which audience watch outside their culture

i remember watching lagaan in Paris with a French audience, they were laughing randomly especially at the english lady-aamir scenes

even hollywood movies when you watch them in theaters in india, ppl will be amused at random things which may not be there for amusement

Cannot agree more....that movie is a cinematic experience....I avoided it till the last min becoz of the OTT action scenes but I still thank my friend who dragged me to watch this in theatre😃

That is how amused a lot of us are while watching movies of different countries, it is either the capacity to feel pity towards an under-privileged or relatively lesser freedom in a particular region or the amusement of watching a super hero from a different planet literally saving the whole world or both ridiculing and enjoying the sappy romance of a particular kind, sometimes stuff that sets the trend might look comical at the face of it because we aren't quite used to it, but in actuality , the movie is gearing towards something big. It ain't a passing meme material, it is something that amuses you because of the amount of hardwork, thought and grandeur put into it along with crazy hardcore emotion. You just can't write it off either ways. Given a chance, if such a spectacle is repeated, people would only be more interested in it.

That's the thing

Half the time I don't understand American desis complaining white people don't know this or that or whatnot about India.

I mean. It's not their country. They wouldn't know much about France either, beyond Paris and Eiffel Tower.

Come to think of it, American whites don't know much about the U.S., either. So there is that.

And movie audience watches primarily for entertainment. What else are the movies for? 😕 Actually, RRR was primarily made as spectacle entertainment, and audience lapped it up,

Tho phir problem kya hain, people?😆
