4 yrs ago, it needed 270-80Cr Nett to be HIT if the budget was 250Cr AND if it had earned record breaking amount of 130Cr from Digital rights.

Today, it needs just 250Cr Nett to be HIT when the budget has crossed 400Cr 🤣.

If the PH has made 150cr from OTT-satellite-music, they need to make the rest of the 300cr from theaters. Kyun ke kharche 450cr kiye hai. 300cr ke neeche becha hai toh PH ka loss. They can sell it to the sub-distributors at more than 300cr but can't sell it at 120cr. To be hit one film needs to be profitable to all the parties involved: Producer, distributors, exhibitors. Producer agar ghaate mein beche ga toh film.. pehle din hi flop hai.

By the logic of the samosa guy, zero should be average or semi-hit and TOH that did 335 crore worldwide on 300 crore budget should be a hit.

Also movies like Raees, Dilwale should be super-hit.

Wish peeps would stop putting out these fake calculations claiming it to be a hit.

They are so obviously not correct that everything else with Brahmastra also starts looking fake.

Arrey, give it a week or two. At current rate, it will be a hit. But don't be premature.

And with this calculation PS1 already earned 125 crores before its release as they sold OTT rights to Amazon ... Means movie already entered 100 cr club before releasing 😆
