Just insecurity of the fans of the Khans and the Kumars now that their time of reigning over the industry is slowly coming to an end. Stardom is finally fading away and Bollywood is going through the most horrible time with people rejecting trash meted out be it the Khans or Kumars. People are finally moving beyond box office, films are getting dumped on OTT, the whole trend of 'box office' is changing every week. Even films starring No.1 'stars' like Akshay, Deepika and Alia are getting dumped in OTT.

So obviously people who have chest thumped all their life idol worshipping these stars will start getting worked up when they see their idols and the 'old Bollywood ' slowly fading away. Uske upar se South Films eating up Bollywood's share of profit. The whole movie watching culture is going through a shift. Even the biggest bollywood producers are struggling to deliver a decent hit. So throwing box office numbers are their coping mechanism. And I'm not personally targetting anywhere here but it's the case all over social media. Just see how worked up people like Himesh Mankad get when a bollywood film fails esp in front of a pan Indian south film.

That's quite tragic to be honest, LOL😆 for them.

KJo has many problems as a person, but he is a businessman at the end of the day.

He favors Alia because the audience hypes her, and her films work and she brings him money.

She also fulfills his GOD complex.

Since couple of years, the audience was hyping Vijay Devrakonda A LOT. Therefore, KJO signed him for a big budget film. VD is an outsider.

Just like post Gangs of Wasseypur, he had his eyes on Anurag Kashyap, but he ditched him after the disastrous Bombay Velvet and Ungli.smiley36

Currently the audience is hyping Kartik, and voila! KJo is suddently back to playing nice with him.😆

People easily forget that KJo ditched Rani, Preeti etc the moment they stopped 'selling' tickets at the BO.

I remember that many years ago (streaming movies was just at the beginning), SRK predicted exactly that in an interview almost with the same words.

The Boxoffice numbers had always been a tool to praise or to criticize a movie/people involved. Already before OTT and the pandemic, BOI numbers had become a tool to manipulate opinions...since about seven years, social media and influenced/biaised/paid media are used for strategic operations to influence or even determine the fate of movies/actors/actresses/directors/producers etc.

However people will always want to watch movies (it's the easiest way to get stories narrated and we as humans adore story-telling). So, all these manipulations are not used to destroy the movie watching culture but to either destroy targeted people or to build a propaganda tool for certain ideas through movies.

RKR's last 8 films are FLOP(4) & DISASTER(4), that's a RECORD which no Star Kid had.

There is no comparison even. Because their one disaster is equivalent to 10 flops of actors like RKR who go around silently doing their own thing and let their craft do the talking. Just the money they spend on their PR is sometimes the entire budget of an RKR movie.

I'm sorry, but how is Rajkumar Rao "privileged" if he had to start from the bottom and work his butt off to prove his mettle and eventually win over producers/directors who are now willing to invest in him? You gonna bregudge him that just because your favorite nepo kids who get everything served on a platter get called out on it?

This is no different than a black person becoming the US President and someone with a chip on their shoulder trying to argue that white privilege doesn't exist -- hey look, we have a black president, so racism doesn't exist.

which data science in the world proves that posting in Alia threads on india-forums is somehow correlated to KJo chanting Alia-Ranbir every facet of his onscreen and offscreen life, and lobbying for roles for them? 😆

On one hand, y'all say that it's just dad's and uncle's looking out for their kids and nieces, which is one of their fundamental birthrights. On the other hand, you also wanna argue that those same people are only acting as per "audience" demands. If that's not wanting to have your cake and eat it too, I don't know what is. 😛

Rajkumar might be the most talented actor on BW but that doesn’t change the fact that he is getting movies despite delivering nothing but flops and disasters . A starkid gets scrutinised for a single flop so why shouldn’t he be ?
