Madhubala was ethereally beautiful and all of today's actresses fall short. Had this movie happened in the 90s Aishwarya would have been perfect due to her beauty and Madhuri for her smile and ada. Unfortunately both are too old now as Madhubala died at 36, unless they pull an Akshay Kumar and do it anyway 🤷🏽♀️
Kriti I believe has already been signed to play Meena Kumari.
I honestly don’t think Alia has the classical beauty or the old school charm to be able to play Madhubala.
If the screenplay and director are good this can be that breakthrough role for Kiara. She’s beautiful and capable IMO.
Ideally they should hold nationwide auditions and hire someone completely unknown and make the movie about Madhubala’s story and not about the star playing her.
