Well, I’d normally advise to take some humble pie but who can blame him. This is a ruthless industry and you’re on your own if you don’t have a sponsor behind you. So if no one powerful has faith in you or support you behind scenes, you have to over compensate by being shrewd and blowing your own trumpet. That’s something that Sushant (RIP) should have done more as talent is sadly not enough to succeed against BW sharks. Ranveer was very cocky when he debuted as a way to compensate as he wasn’t « fitting in » personality and beauty wise (same for Anushka) and it was probably the best strategy. Will never forget that KWK episode where Karan literally admitted on TV that he did everything he could to convince Aditya not to cast them as they were too ugly.

Hope he shines and improves. The above statement makes me remember and it applies to SRK's case the most. Once his films lost popularity since 2008, everyone was waiting for it and thus started his downfall. If he would have got success people would be shut but as we all saw what happened.

Yeah this is a ruthless, jealous, and closed off industry. They don't typically like to let others in especially a certain bunch - others just have to barge their way in in a way that others have no choice but to step aside. That's what SRK did too...

But yes Karthik does need to improve and work on his skills. But he definitely has reach - I saw people around me excited to watch BB2 in theaters for him.

Bhool bhulaiya rode on karthik and kiara. Tabu only in the latter part of the movie. Jug jug jeeyo is watchable only because of kiara's acting.. these two deserve all success

Everything else was fine ..but predicting Shehzada will break BB2 record ..would be a bit on the arrogant side..having said that..if it does..Kartik is definitely cementing his place as the superstar of this decade..because he has the popularity and craze that no other male star currently has ..

I have followed him, his interviews from the start of his career, not fangirling or anything, but like sometimes you just like some people and keep track of them when you have time here and there. Kriti Sanon ccalls him pukka pandit...
