I dont think anyone should diss a person's acting method, a method is very personal to each actor and its what works for them, its what helps them get into character.

So is rk calling Daniel Day Lewis's method stupid? Well he has won 3 oscars, rk shouldn't be calling it stupid. Actors putting effort into their craft should be appreciated, it shouldn't be made fun of.

And when he said 'dont make the movie about yourself', rk makes every movie about himself lol, in the promotions its about him, his wife, his future kids, his parents etc his pr has been on over drive where the media is making an article out of every sentence he says. And then he gets his pr to say that he has no pr lol

how can he diss method actors when he has been method acting as a man child throughout his career in all his films 😂😂

just say it is not your cup of tea and move on. nobody even expects you to play characters like khilji, sardar udham singh, bajirao, etc

Any artistic profession is very subjective and personal, every artist has their own ways of working and showcasing the end results. That, in anyway does not mean one is right or other is wrong.

Being in the industry for so long, you would expect these actors (Ranbir in this instance) to have little decency but then his Kapoor genes and entitlement comes out every single time.

Neetu had said that both Alia and Ranbir are very similar and they never say bad things about anyone, she was partly correct. they don't say bad things but they straight out diss other people's work and put themselves on pedestals with constant support from Papa JO 😵

It appears that Alia and Ranbir will be the century's most insecure pair. 😆

Some of the most accomplished actors are method actors. It can be such a treat to watch someone who transforms to get into the skin of a character.

That being said method acting can be perturbing. Acting is about pretending to be someone else. Actually, losing yourself to become someone else feels wild. Then there are things like personal injury or abusive behavior to others (justified by characters) that feel like they cross a line that mustn't be condoned. Within certain constraints, method acting gives us great and believable characters. But cross a line and method acting is dark and dangerous.

I don't think Ranbir is dissing method as a whole acting per se. He does talk about surrendering to the role and vision (a trait of method actors). He does acknowledge that actors have to become the character to a certain extent. He seems to be calling out the extremity that is wildly dangerous and to a certain extent stupid.

Someone with low IQ and EQ wouldn’t grasp the concept of method acting, so of course it’s « stupid » to him.

Method acting is simply a type of acting in which an actor aspires to encourage sincere and emotionally expressive performances by fully inhabiting the role of the character. It is an emotion-oriented technique instead of classical acting that is primarily action-based.

He’s just admitted that he is devoid of emotions when acting (which I’ve always said - I feel nothing seeing him on screen), which is why he didn’t impress in Sanjay (a character that would have benefited from method acting).

He plays himself (man child on a discovery journey) in most of his roles so he should keep quiet and stick to his lane.

He’s always been a cocky bully, he never gets called out as he is usually PC and only targets his female costars.
