a major factor was the dialogues, I felt that the dialogues of baahubali were much better translated by manoj muntashir and even the songs were better written .

riya mukherjee didnt do a good job.

the original had some great dialogues and especially the songs, dosti for example had some deep lyrics which was translated badly.

they should have gone with manoj

RRR was a fictional, large-scale tribute to freedom fighters and Hindu mythos (Ram, Bheema).👎🏼👏

Therefore, I wasn't expecting the story to be grounded, so I wasn't disappointed.

But I can understand why everyone will not be able to enjoy the film, especially considering the hype. But to say that Salman's masala films are better than RRR🤔, Sorry I absolutely disagree with that.😆

You actually feel 'invested' in the characters and the overall arc in RRR, something that doesn't happens with Sallu's mindless films.😆

Same for KGF 2. It was "Masala done with SWAG and STYLE!".

I actually couldn't sit through several scenes of KGF2, because it was so OTT.

There's a scene when Rocky's girlfriend (who he forcefully kidnapped btw) throws tantrums because of hot weather in the garden,

So Rocky asks his goons to literally get a helicopter because......... helicopter has bigger pankha??🤪🤓🤣.LMAO

My opinion on Bahubaali good attempt but for me I found the VFX and some scenes in the movie comical. Especially the scene in BB2 when the character beheads the enemy and his body is still moving without the head made me laugh 😆. Also using palm trees as a sling shot 😆, fine make a movie based on fantasy but be realistic in some aspects. I watched with my cousins and their kids, they and I were laughing in so many scenes when they were suppose to be serious.

I saw the trailer did not like it.

Of the 3 films of KGF2, Pushpa and RRR , I loved KGF2, though 1 was much better this was style more than substance and some scenes were ott but overall the bgm , swag and a few dialogues were all whistle moments in the theatre.

RRR visually was amazing, simple story but was a bit too long could have edited better.

I saw pushpa on ott and fast forwarded most scenes, it was so cringe to watch and quite boring.

I watched all 3 in original, and in Hindi and i think of all translations,KGF was the best keeping the essence but there was a subtle nuance to each language.

Where Baahubali scored was the visuals, kingdom , music and translation, the voice of Baahubali in Hindi was just superb and that is where RRR failed Charan and NTR did not have a strong diction in Hindi and the dialogues also sometimes were literal which does not make sense.

I also felt that Baahubali story was global of crown politics and conspiracy so fit into anywhere in the world and it will work.

RRR also had a alot of the local politics and culture , though it did do very well, example Charan entry in the climax was not Lord Ram but Alluri Ramaraju actual costume, a lot of my friends in the north assumed it to be Lord Rama , I guess that is where thre could be a few culture differences.

Having said that another masala film that was super boring was Bachchan Pandey and a surprise entertainer for me was Shiva Karthikeyan Don super entertaining

I don't think audience is looking at logic

As long as the movie is entertaining even if some bits are ott or problematic it is not an issue but if the film at any point becomes boring then it has failed.

Atleast that is how 2022 trend shows

I finally watched it yesterday and I'm both with you and not with you. See, after the trailer, I kind of knew I was signing up for a mind-numbing entertainer. There wasn't going to be any logic, lots of blood and gore, and nonsense action.

But I think what makes the movie work and what brought everyone on board with it (myself included) is 3 part - (1) acting, (2) music, and (3) larger than life mass entertainer. I haven't seen a lot of Ram Charan and Jr. NTR but what I saw here (along with the entire cast) was rather good in terms of acting. I could feel angry, sad, frustrated, sympathy, etc. for the characters of Ram and Bheem. The music - I mean it's very engaging and on your lips. I break out in Naacho Naacho or Ramam Raghavam at the oddest times. And after Baahubali everyone knows that S.S. Rajamouli brings larger than life, unbelievable mass entertainers to audiences and so that was expected.

It's not a movie that I would watch repeatedly, but for a one-time or a few times watch it is good. And I also feel that the timing could not have been better for its release. Big star Bollywood movies are failing that would have been expected to be mass entertainers and a movie like The Kashmir Files which should have become an "art" movie topped at the box office. I'm not saying that's bad. In fact it's great that audiences are finally looking to content and not just big stars. But, after such a topsy turvy box office, a movie like RRR could have been expected to do well because the audience was looking for something that is a mass entertainer and doesn't require a lot of thought power, but isn't also just action like Heropanti 2 or comic action like Bachchan Pandeyy.

Additionally, RRR has been in the news for just over 2 years. Everyone has probably heard of it by now and curiosity peaked, so of course people would be interested in watching it to see why it was always in the news despite being postponed due to COVID. Heck half the reason I watched it is because I kept hearing about it and then it did so well at the box office.

Lol we literally trolled the movie and the action as we were watching it, but at the end of the day, we felt that it was a well-spent 3 hours. 😆
