Finally watched RRR on Zee5.

Wish the villains were a bit more than just cardboard cutouts. They have cast good actors to play the British couple. They could have used them more effectively.

Bheem's story was told so well. It is a simple story of good shepherd bringing the lost sheep back to the flock. But the way it is told made all the difference. The tribal youth from forest brought the entire forest along with him to bring the house down to take the lost sheep back into the fold.

For people who knew the history of Alluri Sitaramaraju there was not much suspense in that part of the story.

Don't understand the need for this fire and water analogy.

It's a conflict between a man with pure heart and a man with a burning obsession for his bigger cause.

Except for some over the top fight sequences it was a good movie.

Thing is he has a way of telling an entertaining tale regardless. So the films succeed.

I mean, who else in India can make a movie about a house fly taking revenge and turn it into a blockbuster?😆

Which is the hosue fly movie.

And is it on netflix or prime

I didn't like it either. Of course, the movie was well shot, so certain action sequences were stunning. But that alone isn't enough to salvage the film. The story was weak IMO... and too stretched. I was disappointed after watching it... especially considering the high I felt after watching Bahubali 2.

no I watched it in our media room with big screen and surround sound etc....like I said that VFX and some scenes were good....but the story was so useless...my goodness.....Compare it to Bahubali...especially part 2...each scene is a gem and keeps you engaged and wanting more......I am waiting for BB 2.....but I just couldn't see what was so special about the bokwaas RRR...na koi story...na kuchhh....bus ek doosre ke peeche bhaago aur maar peet karo...😳

Story was not that great but cinematography n execution was good. Timepass n family outing k liye sahi thi..

Oh I love Makkhi....we watched it with our kids a few years back and they were literally ROFLing ...it was such a cute movie..😆I wish I had watched it in theater......I am just disappointed with the lack of story in RRR....there was none..😆

I didn't like Makkhi in the movie, I remember watching it long ago and I don't remember the story as I was 13-14 years old at that time, I remember rooting for Sudeep's character, I wanted him to kill the Makkhi and it irritated me like anything when he couldn't win

I will revisit it and see if my perception has changed 😆

I have no problem with larger than life Heroes....my problem was that the movie had no story ...it was just chasing each other and beating up people....I did like the first 30-45 mins of the movie...because the movie did move a little and their seemed to be a story...but after that it went down hill....I did like that scene with animals and also where they saved the boy....I also liked where Ram dressed up a Lord Ram and was using bow and arrow...it gave me a mythological feel...I wish there was more story and not just the wild chase..

There was a story, it is a tale of friendship between two opposite forces. The story is simple like Avatar's story was very simple, event films are about cinematography and set pieces, Bahubali was strong at script level because it had two parts, we met and loved the character in first film, we watched his journey in second film, other than this Bahubali had good side characters and a strong villain

In RRR, The story revolves around heroes and side characters other than Venkat Rama Raju don't get prominence in the story, The villain is British Empire, Scott and every other Britisher derived their power from their position without that power he was helpless that's how he died in the end, the fight was against the empire not people

Our heroes are based on real life freedom fighters from two different regions, they never met each other in reality, Rajamouli created a fictional world where they meet and achieve their goals together, the storyline is grounded in its approach, you see Komaram Bheem fought for his tribe and that's what he does in the movie, he is working for his tribe and Alluri SitaRama Raju supplied weapons to natives that's what RamaRaju does in the movie

Rajamouli never compromised on script for action set pieces nothing happened in the story for sake of it, everything had a reason behind it

You can see attention to details in their fight sequence too where Rama is a trained policeman and Bheem is pure strength, Rama uses techniques and Bheem uses his power

The movie had fire and water theme which continued till the end, there were references from mythological counterparts

The Rama reveal in the end wasn't Lord Rama, it was Alluri SitaRama Raju in his real life avatar, Rajamouli created in a way that everyone could relate to it, you didn't have to know about the freedom fighter to get goosebumps in that scene

🤧👀 I just love this movie

🤧👀 I just love this movie

i loved it too, very well put. I think there is a lot of thought which is beyond a general action movie, can't compare at all

for example, the introduction ntr tiger sequence is because he is capturing animals to take them for the rescue which culiminates in the interval scene, it is not just there to show hero tiger fight

i also liked the transformation of rama raju from belief in weapons to power of word when he sees people motivated by bheem's song, similar to pen mightier than the sword which was a constant tussle in the independent struggle. it also relates to the characters as tribals are close to nature and non-violent (as the man in the 1st scene says) unless provoked but rama raju is a warrior.

also mythological refernces of hanuman, rama and sita etc
