Why Neetu is ok with Alia but not Kat and DP? - Page 4

Alia is not a bholi bhali kid.

She is diplomatic sure but also knows what she is getting into.

Her family is pretty dysfunctional, that is the reason why she did not look for support for her family professionally and she worked with KJo and look where it got her.

Kat and Deepika were Ranbir girlfriends when the guy was in his 20s and early 30s and is heralded as the next big thing.

Neetu wants him settled and Alia seems to get along well with his whole family too and they seem to accept her too.

No I’m not trying to troll or anything. But i find it quite funny she loved Alia, but hated both DP and Katrina. Is it because both DP/Kat were bigger stars? Or because Alia comes from an influential family and didn’t really had to go through some “weird” situations like other outsiders does? I think if Alia wasn’t a bhatt, Neetu wouldn’t have agreed on her to be Ranbir’s wife😆

I feel she has no choice now she could either have him being single forever or get married to Alia. Or maybe they genuinely vibed ya that's very much possible

And I feel Alia also made extra efforts to make sure Neetu was comfortable she spent quite a lot of time with her unlike the others .

Maybe she knew Ranbir ka ghar ka raasta uski maa key dil seh jaata hai 😉😆

That’s not true. Katrina was ready to leave her career if she gets married to Ranbir. It’s just that Neetu was against her because of her shady background.

She is in no position to depend, as her son is already 40 and it is hard to get so young Bahu. If she misses Alia with her attitude then donot know if Ranbir will get married or will stay single forever. So as a mother she desperately want her son to settle

very true its same as Ash+Bachan families.

How ironic that a woman (Kat) that was trashed for years for supposedly not being marriage material and not fit for a traditional Indian family turns out to be a sweet DIL and wife embracing traditions. And the “traditional” MIL (Neetu) turns out to be advocating for open relationships and promiscuity.

In the end everything fell into place and everyone found their perfect match so it’s a good outcome.

Neetu has a toxic relationship with Ranbir…in a way there are a lot of his traits that I’d blame on her failure as a parent. She really lives vicariously through him and you can tell that she has always expected him to fill the emotional void that she experienced throughout her marriage. These type of mums approach their DIL as love rivals so if you see it from that lens it makes perfect sense why DP and Kat wouldn’t fit in - both have very strong characters, they speak their mind and had a strong hold on him (I think things started to fizzle out when he decided to move out - I don’t think Neetu ever forgave Kat for this). Alia is not that young and she is definitely not stupid but she is a people pleaser who really cares about her image and being loved. She also comes from a filmy family and a dysfunctional family so I can see her going the extra mile to please everyone.
