you make it big you will be acknowledged. You dont make it big you wont be acknowledged. Now it depends on people to people what 'making it big' means for them. Outsiders like DP, aish, anushka, PC had a lot of media appreciation. They worked with big production houses, in their mega projects , with high profile stars. They became high profile themselves and always stood their own against BW creme-de-la-creme. Yami mostly does low budget hum-drum movies, with low profile actors . I dont think this is an outsider/insider issue. She is just not that big of a star. But the good thing is she acknowledges that and has decided to look beyond it.

Did we have mass promotion of nepokids like we have now during their time?

Aish, PC are miss worlds..DP ..Would count as privileged already. Anushka is self made..but inspite of being a good actress is she considered in the big league or overtly praised by insiders like Kareena or Alia are? We know Kjo's first impression of her.

Wish SSR or Kartik Aryan could've done that..sadly they became victims of negative publicity and rumours. Wish Kartik Aryan stops trying to become a part of this close knit nepo circle and comes into his own.

Loved her completely in A Thursday. I actually never took much notice of her before this. I just always thought of her as extremely beautiful but pretty boring as well.

Now, my opinion of her has changed, I even watched Bhoot Police only for her and to my own surprise ended up liking the movie! 😆
Yami, deserves more success and acknowledgement and I believe her star is beginning to shine now.

Well, everyone has their limit and reaches a point where they have to say something. Yami is typically quiet but this time her performance getting ignored by Cinema Express probably hit a big nerve.

Yami was great in the movie

the story of a Thursday is much better than most recent films (including Gangubai) and I would watch it again
